Bachelor 19 - Whitney Bischoff #2

Lucas15, an excellent post above.  I really like it. Some on board are great sleuthers which takes great talent, but the ones with the people skills are the ones who watch for clues in the program.  Matter of fact, Chris has his hand on Whitney's rear many times this season.  It just seems like he can't keep his hands off of her. :

At this point, less than 2 weeks into the finale, no one's mind is going to be changed. There are Whit fans and those who do not like Whit, there are Becca fans and those who aren't crazy about Becca. There are Chris fans and those who really cannot stand him. And of all of those, no one is going to have a different opinion in the next 10 days.
I am so happy I don't have a fan favorite this year. I'd like Whit to win, but I'll be fine if she doesn't. But it's tough for a lot of people at this point. I just hope some don't get mad at others because of their likes or dislikes.

I've seen Whitney referred to as his top pick and F1 since early on, because she usually receives the first rose at rose ceremonies and didn't seem to be in any danger of going home this week. I just wanted to address this, because I think it's simplifying the whole thing. I don't think it automatically makes her the frontrunner, well maybe in a sense, but not based on Chris's strong feelings for her. I think it's because, like his dad put it, she's the sure pick. He has known this since early on. He knows her better than any of the other ladies, because not only have they had two 1-on-1's, she also shares a lot about herself with him without him even needing to ask. She's answered all his questions before he even thought of presenting them. He knows she's a classy accomplished woman who wants to marry him and have his babies. I'm sure he can picture a life with her. The other women have been harder to get to know or just wrong for him, and as long as there are women around he just can't see a future with, Whitney is obviously in no danger.

It's pure logic to keep the sure thing around when the other relationships could all still blow up in your face. It doesn't mean he's in love with her, yet anyway. He might have been hoping along the way that one or several of the other women would become the sure thing, they just haven't.

Britt turned out to be self-absorbed and possibly fake, Carly he was never that into to begin with, Jade turned out to be too scandalous for a small town and Kaitlyn was more in the friend zone judging by their kissing. Plus he can't even cross the border, so how would he date a Canadian? As if. I don't believe for a minute he was that torn about the decision in Bali, just feeling guilty. Becca, however, is the total package and while her virginity may have threw him for a loop for a bit, he's still attracted to her. She's just not a sure thing, because of her slower pace.

Now, I'm not saying he doesn't have feelings for Whitney, since he obviously does. I just think her role as the frontrunner is more based on logic than undeniable chemistry. I don't see her as the girl he can't say goodbye to. I see her as the one he chooses not to say goodbye to until someone else gets to the point she's at and has been since early on. Maybe I'm wrong, and if they are engaged, then I hope I'm wrong. That's just how I've seen it played out on screen. JMO.

I'm not a fan of Whit, but I do like her, as an individual, in no correlation with Chris.
Since my view on Chris is different from the way she describes him (or the way TPTB is selling). And I don't see him being as into her as she is into him. So I believe in the other outcome. That said, I could be reading all of it completely wrong. And I'm not a fan of Becca either, just not crazy for anyone. (Waiting for Kaitlyn to get her gig) Whatever the final choice is, both are the winners, since the F2 gets the freedom to meet her perfect match somewhere else at her own pace and won't be exposed to constant public judging or have to answer to anyone.

You're right- it's her life, her choice, I just hope it works out for her.

Dont believe what they say on camera, like Chris leaves on the farm all the time, etc...

And anyway, to me, feminism doesnt mean Women should work and be wives and mothers. To me it means they can do what they want!

Mindless, I hate to disagree with you **edited** Of course the first was the wedding date. They were very familiar with one another prior to that date. Then if we continued to watch them, especially on the visit to Iowa, he introduced his friends, had a mural painted and did everything but tell her on camera that he loved her. He gave every indication that she was the special one.

To be fair, he did take Becca on the Ferris Wheel. Both of them could've been producer planned and executed or both could have been Chris planned/executed...or one of each.

Reading signs is all I've been doing. You must have missed him intertwining his fingers with Becca's at all times and resting his hand/arm on her inner thigh and pulling her towards him while kissing.

That date in Iowa was planned before filming even started, so I can't credit Chris for the mural. It made sense to choose Whitney to go on it, since it had been a while since their first 1-on-1 and he knew she could handle meeting his friends out of the blue like that.

Both sides are going to see tons of "signs". These were his final 2 women…..he liked them both.
