Re: Josh Murray - Bachelorette 10 - Discussion - Thread #7
Josh, while seemingly an OK guy for the most part, doesn't do it for me on any fronts...physically or intellectually and I don't see much humour from him. Maybe it's the edit he got or maybe it's just him, but for me a season of him as the lead would be a big fat

Obviously not every male contestant is going to appeal to every fan, **edited**But I do believe that if women in America were polled, Josh would be considered very appealing to the majority. He was a fan favorite on Andi's season long before she chose him. And from everything I have read, those who know him personally or have met him recently only have great things to say.
TPTB ideally need a lead that can hold his own on screen, is truly sincere about finding love, and can drive the women crazy all at the same time. Josh is that guy IMO.
I realize there may be some great guys on Katelyn's season, and I guess we'll know soon enough if one stands out as a better future lead. But in all the years I have watched this show, no one has ever struck me as such a perfect choice as Josh has. I feel he brings it all to the table in looks, character, sincerity, sense of humor, and just all around charisma. Having said that though, I really hope he finds love on his own before the Bachelor is even casted. I do think the natural way is likely to be more successful for him.

Please do not question, why posters would post negative comments in a General Discussion thread. The reason they do, is because they can, and that's their opinions.
Hope this clarifies the purpose of a General Discussion thread.

The point of the discussion thread vs fan thread is that allopinions are welcome - not just negative. You're suggesting that we should stay out of all threads where we don't like someone but don't you think that would make for a very boring forum?
That's actually not at all what I am suggesting, as I acknowledged in my post that I'm aware that negative comments are welcome in a discussion thread. What I was referring to is the comments from people saying they have no interest in Josh. My point was, there must have been something about him that caused enough interest to make the effort to go to his thread and post. Otherwise, wouldn't they just be indifferent and not bother. I don't care for Nick, but I find him interesting enough that I've gone to his threads on occasion. However, I have not gone to any other male contestants threads because I am indifferent towards them. I've acknoweldged that not everyone likes Josh, but to say that you don't have an interest in him makes no sense to me when you make the effort to post about him or go on his threads.
The point I'm trying to present makes perfect sense in my head, I may not be articulating it as well as I'd like on this post, unfortunately.

Posters can go into whatever threads they want, and they don't have to explain to anyone what they are doing there.

GuardianAngel wrote:If everyone didn't bother going into a thread because they were indifferent, we wouldn't have a discussion forum. Suggesting posters not bother posting because they are indifferent is telling them what to do. Just because you feel that way LG, others do not. Others may be indifferent but learn something new that they didn't know about the contestant by reading their thread and the sharing of opinions. It's not reasonable to ask that people avoid threads just because they don't have anything positive to say.

Point taken, GA.
Although it wasn't my intention to tell someone what to do or to avoid going on certain threads. I was just trying to make what I thought was a reasonable point in regards to another post. To discuss, per se. Unfortunately I feel it was taken out of context. I'll try to articulate better next time.

I don't think he is a bad guy. I just find him rather bland and I never went much for the jock type...but that is me. I get that there are plenty out there that would drool all over him and I would certainly watch. If I could watch the slimy Jake the fake, I can certainly watch Josh. Who knows, he might even grow on me like a few others did.
