I swear I remember him saying in a interview during the primere media tour that he was in love and that he wants to be the best he can be for her. Hint maybe? I cannot remember what interview it was for though.

I really liked that whole date. It seemed fairly natural...or at least as natural as dates go on this show. I could however, have done without cutting in and out of it to show us the drama back at the hotel and the leg wraps. I don't know why they think that is attractive and necessary. Not once in my life have I ever greeted a man like that out in public. One of these days there will be an accident and somebody is going to land on their a** and throw their back out.

Such a sweet date!! She sealed the deal at the bar with his friends. Chris looked so friggin happy. He also has tremendous respect for her and their chemistry is sustainable because they have a solid connection.

When Whitney shared her "story" at a TOTALLY appropriate time (thank you Whit) about the loss of her mom at 19, he just wanted to swoop in and be the one to give her his family. While other women on show shared their sad stories, he listened with compassion and as a friend. Maybe I was seeing things but it seemed that Chris' demeanor changed and he was ready to actively make things better for her...not just be a bystander to her pain.

I know others have been commenting on Whit being too "on" but I believe that she is a truly positive person. And she needs to be in order to be effective in her job...giving patients encouragement and hope every day. Plus she needed to stay positive and strong to make it to other side of mom's unexpected death at such a young age.

Agree with you again! Whit did tell the story at an appropriate time and without the pity party. She explained what happened to her mother and the lack of relationship with her father, then immediately started to talk (paraphrasing) about how the experience made her who she is. I see Whit as a person who when faced with tragedy, decided she could wallow in self pity, or move forward with her life and be positive and grateful for what and who she does have in her life, and chose the latter. I think her "on" personality is genuine- she chose to live her life focused on the good, and not be dragged down by the losses she has endured. She is a glass half full kind of woman.

I also think a lot of the development of the Chris\Whit connection was left on the cutting room floor. I can't remember his words, but Chris said something in an ITM or voiceover during the Whit date about how their connection developed that led me to believe there is a lot about their connection we haven't seen. Evil editors.

^^^yep KB but I have a good feeling about coming episodes. Tonight is so jam packed that I am not expecting a ton but I think F3 and F2 episodes will be more of what we fans want.

IMHO America is not just rooting for Chris but for Whitney too. The way she shared her loss in such a genuine moment vs. trying to get his attention or rose made you just fall in love with her. Reminded me of when Cat revealed her family situation to Sean prior to htd. Both ladies didn't share to exploit their tragedy which shows their good character.

By choosing Whitney, there will never be a dull moment. She loves life and shows maturity in the way she thinks.What a prize and I suspect she will not be a clinging vine. I cannot say I would have the same expectations for the needy ones. I hate to say, but I predicted they had a bonding very early. I was thrilled to watch the show last night and see how it is coming down.

Whitney is classy and definitely a catch. He is very impressed by her (can't blame him). I like them together. They seem like a good match in a down to earth real way. Can't wait to see them get closer. I think he is going to be really fun to watch at the proposal.

She definitely takes the lead in the relationship but last night showed that as strong as she is he can offer her a lot too... He can give her a family, be a stable loyal force in her life that won't leave, protect and love her because she hasn't always had it easy. It's a great balance for both of them and why I think they can work. He wants to be a "better man" for her, and I saw that when he was listening to her tell her story about her mom. ^^^So true! This has been the season of the sad story. I have tried not to pass too much judgment online but most of the retelling has just seemed so exploitative and manipulative to gain airtime or Chris' attention on why they "needed" to stay longer.

With Whitney and Chris you could almost see their relationship progress after she opened up and they became that much closer. It is very sweet to watch those two. Excited to see them tonight.

Looks like Whitney's sister provided producers with a hurdle to spotlight for Chris and Whitney to overcome by holding her blessing. You could also say that Britt was another hurdle for Whit to pass based on her comments last week. Now that Chris is seeing the true Britt. You could see Whitney almost relax a little when Carly was describing how B imploded on the group date.

The next day, I couldn't wait to show Whitney around Des Moines. Now, Des Moines is not Arlington. It's obviously very different, but it's a place I spend a lot of time. A lot of my friends live there, and I often go there for farming conventions. It really does have it all. It's a great city with natural beauty, cool people and a lot going on. One morning that week I woke up and went running along the river and up to the Capitol building. I stopped for a couple minutes there to admire the view. Stunning. What a city.

As for the date, I knew Whitney was the perfect girl to take because we'd spent a lot of time talking about Iowa – or, as she calls it, "Eye-wah" – and we hadn't had a one-on-one since we crashed that wedding. Taking photos of our love story around Des Moines was so fun, and the whole day just felt so normal. What Whitney didn't know was that I'd met with a local graffiti artist earlier that day and planned to send him our best photo for him to paint on a wall. I could barely keep that secret all day, but I knew seeing her reaction would be worth the wait!

So, even though Des Moines is technically considered a big city for Iowa, it still feels like a small town. As soon as word got out that I was on a date in the city, people tried to figure out where we'd be spending the evening. I was shocked and overwhelmed seeing how many people came out just to catch a glimpse of us. But hey, that's Iowa fans for you! #iowaproud

Anyway, I was looking forward to our evening because I had two surprises up my sleeve. I'd asked three of my best buddies to come meet Whit, because I really wanted to see how she would interact with some of my closest friends. Man, it was great to see those guys! The truth is, I wish I had been able to invite all my best friends (sorry, guys, you know who you are!), but I didn't want Whitney to be too overwhelmed! Either way, my friends LOVED her. They were really grilling her, and asking tough questions, and that girl handled it like a pro. She really amazed me with her poise and her honesty. That woman knocked it out of the park.

Anyway, I had to kick my friends off the date so Whit and I could spend more quality time together. It was bittersweet to see them go, but I heard they enjoyed the rest of their evening out on the town. When it was just us, Whitney really opened up to me about her family and her difficult past. I would have never guessed that she had faced such adversity in her life because of how strong she is. Truthfully, I struggled not to cry but I wanted to be strong for her and hearing her talk so fondly of her mother made me realize where she got her strength. That night Whitney and I really took our relationship to another level. Being able to show Whitney the mural and see the look on her face was incredible. It was the perfect ending to the perfect day.

I can tell by reading this how much he loves her.
