Obviously it was reality for some couples who actually got married! Scripted to an extent, but real feelings can evolve and develop.

Exactly! I think we all heard rumors about the seasons that were more scripted than others (cough Emily/Jef cough) or seasons where production had to scramble due to the too early departure of the lead's favorite (cough Deanna/Graham cough). Or seasons where the lead was just trying to break into show business (cough Jake, the football guy cough) or promote his business (cough Ben cough).

Maybe I am being naïve but this season does not seem all that scripted to me. Storyboarded ... definitely!! Manipulating Chris and ladies ... yes! Promoting drama ... yes!! But genuine interest in finding wife ... I'd say YES.

In many ways Chris' season is reminding me a whole lot like Sean's season. They both took the process seriously and ended up with two great gals at the end. I think anyone would be hard pressed to say anything bad about Sean's F2 Lindsey or about Chris' F2 (IMO) Becca.

Now let's give them a shot! I personally think that Chris and Whitney have better odds making it than many others before them as they both seem pure of heart and have similar goals in life. And call me crazy for keep bringing it up but I think it's important that they are both Midwesterners and have lived through that type of winter which is NOT easy.  

And, last point, I spent some time today catching up on Chris & Payton Lambton thread. Something Payton said about her moving up to Cape Cod and also falling in love with Chris L's work in landscaping plus the two of them working together just struck me as something that could also happen for Whitney and Chris S. I can see those two really becoming partners for the long term.

MVM, you mention my two favorite bachelor people. I have to believe you are so on with your diagnosis of Chris and Whitney. Both are genuine people like C & P. Seldom do we see two men on a bachelor or ette show quite like Lambton or Soules. And I think equally of Peyton and Whitney. They are just super nice people and so highly regarded.

I think it is a crying shame that the Fleissmaster doesn't want him to be part of the bachelor nation. But, because Whitney and Chris are in good stead with Fleissmaster, the world is theirs. If they marry, they will be one of the highlights of the bachelor nation.

This is "the moment" for me, the beginning of their love story. The way they look into each other's eyes, his smiling gaze at her. It's like in a crowded room, for them, they are the only two people there.

CH said CS wore his heart on his sleeve and they had to edit around it. I look at that pic and I see Chris' heart blazoned on his sleeve.

From epi 3 on, those evil, evil editors had to scramble to edit around and distract us from the fact that the heart on Chris' sleeve has Whit's name written all over it.

I have to say that I'm a fan of Whitney and finds her 100% beautiful and adorable.
I'm hoping that Chris keeps his commitment because, to me, he's liking the spotlight A LOT.

I am not alone then. I admit, I had hoped they would ride off to the farm only to be heard from again when they marry. Not really but I am surprised beyond belief that he is doing DWTS. I guess the $$ were too good to walk away from, regardless of what he has. Looks like the farmer may like the limelight a lot more than I was hoping for.

It is my belief that W will see the experience on DWTS and C as an experience and enjoy it with him rather than see it as a detriment.... She is always in to having fun, and she will see this as part of the journey.... She will like showing him her support right from the start.....
