So my guess is it is either the tent time with whichever girl (Kaitlyn it seems) or something else he does on a group date with one of the girls. There were a LOT of (awkward) kissing SCs posted of Chris so he seems to pucker up a lot which leads to...

Atem: ITA with you here. How quick it is forgotten how Chris was engaged and that was broken off for suspect reasons....?   To me, Chris doesn't strike me as a 'lead'-er more of a follower (the girls calling the shots in a way) and seems to just be a people-pleaser to some extent, going with whomever, whenever. Muscles or not, this does not make for a man of strong character or depth (not saying he doesn't have any, just that he doesn't come off as someone who is very centered/mature, imo).

Watching the first episode again and he just seems so giddy/giggly-schoolgirlish and like a kid in a candy store which, regardless of the situation of many girls being such a new novelty, it just struck me as immature-ish (one can be excited without being all 'heehee'). But, that's me and I can appreciate that others see him differently (and perhaps more accurately?).

Coming off of BachCanada with Tim as a lead(er) doesn't help how I view Chris. Tim really set the bar and I haven't seen anything yet about Chris to make me think he will even reach that level (and sadly, TPTB US are a different breed altogether than BachCan producers). Watching Chris on Andi's season and again now as lead, there's just something off about him — not that he is 'bad' just bland, imo. He is probably a nice enough guy who is charming, likes to have a good time, etc, etc.

Indifferent at the moment about the possible love-story (reminding myself this is TBUS so it's not a priority) but not keen for Britt as the next Bachelorette. Still hoping that I will see more of a theme/arc with 'Chris and his F1' than 'Britt-is-going-to-the-next-Bette' storyline/arc.

ETA: Have a feeling that if I end up liking Chris through this process it will be through default, that is, more-so based on whom his F1 is and  if she brings out a unique side to him (e.g. vulnerability/depth/seriousness, etc...) that is endearing. Whitney seemed hidden for the first episode but her edit (camera focusing on her and her concern about not getting a rose is usually a tell-tale sign for someone that goes far). The mural/writing-on-wall is what is keeping me interested this season. Looking to learn more about Whitney (read in her thread that both her parents are deceased so that is really sad and takes strength to get through that, her being so young).

I have really gotten the impression both during the airing last night and the "pressers" with Access and Kimmel, that Chris is far less sophisticated than we are used to with a lead. In the end I think he will be drawn to the women who have really strong families OR who will appreciate his really strong family (Becca has the strong family.... RS says Whitney's parents have passed away- so she would probably value his family very much). Andi said that Chris would, in the end, be attracted to women like his sisters who he admires greatly. He is not looking for a really worldly woman to come back to Iowa with him. Such a woman would really have to knock his socks off.
