Really? I didn't believe her for a minute. There's no way she was moving to Arlington. The others all admitted it was smaller than they thought but she's the one overly enthusiastic about it to Chris. That wasn't what did her in anyway or at least not the last straw. It was how rude she was in front of the others. 

I really hope Britt doesn't get the lead. I enjoy the Bachelorette because of the guys but I've never gone in actively disliking one. I've come out that way a couple of times, Jen & Andi. The ones I can't stand are the "it's all about me" gals and Britt fits that mold to a T.

I totally agree. I think she realised on the long drive back to Des Moines that she'd said some rather harsh things about the place, so she decided she'd better change her tune as soon as the cameras are rolling in order to make herself look better to the viewers. Hence the whole "I saw the sunset and it was so prettyyy, I really liked it, I loved it!" Come on now Britt, the sun sets in all parts of the country. It was just another example of using impressionistic speech to avoid any details and make Chris happy. None of the other girls claimed to love it or even like it really, Jade just said it is enough (for the right girl). Chris isn't stupid, he knows it's a sacrifice for every one of them to move there.

And yes, she was very rude to question Chris's decision right there in front of the others, as if Kaitlyn couldn't possibly have said or done anything to deserve that rose more than her. The least she could've done is pull Chris aside and voice her concerns in private instead cracking her knuckles right next to Kaitlyn.

I think we call can agree that Britt was aware of those cameras 24/7 .... she even put fresh makeup on at night for morning ...... so why would she forget to watch what she said when in Arlington? doesn't make sense to me. I get most don't like her, but with her it's a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't. I've felt that way about contestants in the past so I do get where some of you are coming from.. I just don't feel that way about Britt. I'm more that way about Kelsey this season.

She's not my favorite by any means but like you, I feel like she's taking the heat when Chris caused much of the friction between her and the girls. I'm finding Chris to be very weak and almost cowardly. I think the girls sense it too as they have no trouble either confronting him or talking about the other girls.  He blindly listens to anything anyone says to him and is extremely easy to manipulate. He THINKS he was taking care of the situation with Britt but in truth - he was being manipulated by Carly instead   Chris was naive enough to think that he was going to be the lead and that his actions would never be questioned and when he was, he either ran away or blamed someone else but he never owned his actions.

I felt the same way. It was actually nice to finally enjoy him on the HTDs as he has failed to impress me for much of the rest of the season. The editors aren't doing him many favors, but I do wonder if just like in Andi's season, if he really just doesn't give them much to work with.

What stood out to me in Epi 7, was that Jade was far more negative about Arlington than Britt. Now I can believe that Jade was smart enough to keep those thoughts to herself, where as Britt being around the other girls was at a disadvantage that her initial disappointment was harder to hide.

I think Chris's main issue with Britt was not that she didn't like Arlington, but that she pretended to LOVE it. It just comes off really insincere when you know the girl has been living in Hollywood for most of her adult life. With the other girls, you could see the initial shock and disappointment but (I'm guessing) an understanding that if it was true love, they would move. Even Andi had that same reaction, and Chris wasn't upset with her; he even said post-interview that he would have even compromised and moved to a nearby city if it was true love. I think it just went along with Britt's tendency to go along with whatever Chris loved. If he wanted 100 kids, SHE wanted 100 kids. There are ALWAYS girls that pretend to love and admire everything that their boyfriend does because they don't want to lose them. In this case, I don't think that love was Britt's motivation; it was to stay on the show to either win or become the Bachelorette. Also, if I remember correctly, Carly didn't get mad at Britt initially when she supposedly said "OMG, I could never live here"; she got upset when she came back and told Jade a completely different version. I think Carly's main issue was her insincerity, not necessarily her dislike of Arlington.


I will say, I don't think that anyone moving to Arlington. Either Chris/F1 are moving to a nearby city or they are breaking up.

My gut tells me that Britt was leaving that night, one way or another and I'm thinking she was talked into letting Chris be the one to let her go for multiple reasons. 1 - for Chris he saves face by not getting walked out on again (Meghan had just left) and 2 - it's a better setup for Britt to be the next 'ette as it makes for a better story when the lead is a dumpee, rather than a dumper. 3 - it casts less doubt as to whether F1 was there real choice or just a default one like, for example, it was when Brooks left and she chose Chris. Thankfully all ended well for Des, but the public know how it actually went down. This way, Chris and Whitney get to save face and pretend to be in love until they really do fall for each other... or they break up

Maybe walked out was too strong of a phrase, but from what I remember, when the other girls were getting 2nd 1/1's and she wasn't, she realized that she wasn't going anywhere with him, so she approached him to basically confront him, not in an argumentative way, but to ask him outright if there was anything and should she stay. He agreed there was nothing and they parted. She could have waited until the RC, but to me, it seems like she wasn't just going to wait around to get dumped, she just wanted to go. Mutual yes, but still initiated by her. Same with Britt, she was ready to go home, talked about it with the girls, even packed. Something happened in that 24 hrs... and my gut says tptb decided exactly how she was going to be "allowed" to leave.

Sharleen's recaps for the last two episodes are up, and I have to say she nails Britt. It's pretty much everything that I've been thinking, but unable to articulate well.

I also suspect, in the same way Carly has it out for Britt, Britt has it out for Kaitlyn. We first caught a glimpse of her disdain for Kaitlyn's wild side in Episode 4 when she said to another girl, "It's all Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn" and spoke to Chris about his "validating her behavior". And now, this is the only time other than the zombie paintball group date where Kaitlyn gets a rose in front of Britt, and this is how Britt reacts. Call me crazy, but I have a hard time believing she would have been so livid had Carly, who I'd wager she considers less of a threat, received that same rose.

I completely agree with the following statement of Britt's: "I don't want my husband to see me as, like, second, third, or fourth down the line... I want my husband to really, really want me." However, it doesn't comply with the entire concept of this show and therefore doesn't give her much to stand on. Her use of that argument struck me as an excuse for her in-the-moment bout of jealousy.

Here are my feelings on Britt: She reminds me of the "drama" kids in high school. You know what I mean. The ones who lived and breathed drama classes and who starred in every year's school play. Even back then I had a saying about them: when I spoke with and interacted with them, I felt like I was playing an extra in the movie of their lives. To me, they always seemed to over-emote, which was something I couldn't and still can't relate to.

Interestingly, I was saying the other day that I don't really see Britt's hotness and in these pictures I totally do! She IS one of the most stunning contestants in the franchise. I think it's just her personality and over-emoting that are unappealing to me.
