My heart is pounding just like waiting in the finale to see if Andi really chooses Josh. This time, I'm waiting to see if ABC chooses to air our favourite couple. They better...or else! Do you think by now ABC would have confirmed privately with them whether or not they'd air it?

Ha I feel the same way! I would think ABC and Andi & Josh would know by now. I am sure ABC has plenty of pull but wedding venues get booked pretty far in advance, especially in and around Atlanta. I think if spring/summer is going to happen ABC would already have an agreement with them. I always want to think because JODI always says they would be interested that they are hinting but I think that's just wishful thinking on my part

I think they would definitely know by now too if ABC was going to air it. I'm being cautiously optimistic. The realistic side of me doesn't think that ABC is going to air it, mostly due to the fact that Chris S stated they passed on his wedding with Des due to lower ratings. Not sure if TPTB were referring to the Bachelorette season or ratings for Sean and Cat's wedding or both, but Andi's season had similar ratings to Des (maybe even slightly lower), so that doesn't bode well. At the same time, JODI does have a huge SM following, so you just never know.

Personally, I didn't love the way they aired Sean and Cat's live. I found the first hour boring and then I felt they missed showing so many things that I would have really enjoyed, especially parts of the reception. That's why I would prefer, if they do air the wedding, that it's not live so they can show the highlights, including panning to reactions of the groom and family when Andi walks down the aisle, more of the wedding party, family and friends. I just really think this would be such a fun wedding and crazy reception, I want to be part of it all!!

In regards to televised weddings, I think production felt like they had to air previous weddings because it was out of the ordinary that these couples lasted and they could rake in some benefits. I'm sure ABC loved promoting the fact that some couples do make it even though they had a horrendous track record. Now that there's a good amount of couples actually staying together, it makes the show look better and not as silly (even though it still is), but they don't necessarily need to televise the weddings now, because regardless, people will know and read about when a couple actually gets married from the franchise.

I know they get a lot for free, but a lot goes into putting together a televised wedding. I do believe what Des' Chris said. The ratings haven't been great and essentially, it's just not worth it for them. I will say though that Andi and Josh are kind of at a good time right now. Des and Chris won't have theirs on television, Nikki and Juan Pablo certainly will not be getting married now, and Chris Soules and his F1 will have a long way to go before a wedding if they end up staying together. That would be a long stretch with no weddings if they were to skip over Andi and Josh.

I can see it going both ways, but I tend to believe they'll get a televised wedding. I wish ABC would switch it up and try a spring/summer wedding, which Andi and Josh want.

I think the moment when Andi and Josh are interviewed about their wedding and they stop saying we are open to a TV wedding, then that'll be confirmation that it won't be aired. But for now, their continued statement of we're open would signal to me that a TV wedding is in the cards.

I'm still hopeful it would be aired, because whereas before they were saying next spring, all of a sudden months later, they are saying spring OR summer. I think that maybe ABC was saying that summer may be more convenient for them. Why else would Andi and Josh add on summer as a possibility? Certainly not because of Aaron because he'd be done with his football season by February-ish. Why else say summer?

I will be so disappointed it ABC does not air the wedding.  HOWEVER, if that happens, we could all hope for an awesome wedding video that can be seen on SM.  I love the Bakalar-Rickman wedding video.  Really classy!

But planning a wedding is kind of a huge undertaking and they really need to have some stuff firmed up at this point -- they can't just be twiddling their thumbs waiting to get the green light from ABC. So do we think they already know 100% that it's going to be televised and they're just not saying? Or are they just expected to go ahead and make their own plans, and the network will give them a Yea or Nay in the next few months, in which case ABC will then step in and take over the rest of the planning? I'm totally confused about how this whole thing would work. Like, they must know, right, and they're just being coy?

I know Andi wanted to get married on May 9th but as we determined before, that would potentially interfere with the end of Bachelorette filming. Although as Ash mentioned some time ago, airing Andi and Josh's wedding just before the premiere of the new Bachelorette season would actually be perfect timing. Basically I just want them to have the wedding they want, when they want it. And if the network isn't cooperating I hope they just do their own thing. It'll be beautiful regardless and we'll still get lots of pictures!

JMO--but I don't think so. My understanding of the weddings done recently, the couples were notified pretty much last minute. There were quite a few things not under the couple's control which ended up being fine if they wanted TB/ABC doing the wedding. The attitude for certain things was "this is how this is going to be". This worked out well for the past 2 couples.
So my take, by going by the past 2 recent weddings, for any future couple courting the idea of a network wedding, they will have to play ball with the network and wait to see if they will get a deal and then plans will be made and not the other way around.

Wow! Great interview, and now i am even more convinced Josh and Andi know there will be a TV wedding! Definitely had the "talk" or talks. ;)
