He is totally concerned about getting hurt. Need those SCs of him with April as she talks about how scared she is. Tim's face was nothing but fear. And that VO of him saying he found love but it's gone now? If anyone leaves or wants to leave it will be April, not Trish from these previews. The only urgency seen is Tim towards April.

ITA!!  This is why I'm having a hard time believing Trish is F1...no real obstacles to overcome.  Everything is just fun and happy w. her!  If Trish is F1, I think Tim and producers would bring up this "concern' from her past every chance they got. I'm surprised he did not bring it up during HTD and if  he did , why producers chose not to show the clip.......... if she's truly the F1.

Just a question, does anyone remember what concerns Brad had for Bianka?  I don't really remember anything very serious at all.  Things with Whit were far more serious and concerning for him.

Good point!  ...I did not watch Season 1 and maybe i'm comparing this too much to Bachelor/Bachette US .  I'm sure Bianka did not break and engagement to a guy she dated for 8 years.. If she did, would you expect to see more than 1 conversation about it?  

I'll have to watch Trish's HTD again...but I don't remember any deep conversations at all exept how "goofy and fun" her family is.  I was hoping for 1 conversation where Tim asked her parents if they think she's "READY" for another commitment.  If the conversation took place, why producers did not show it if she is the F1.

I missed the first 30 mins...but wondering if Kaylynn said she was doomed based on connection she saw w. Trish or her BFF in the house April.

So we all are waiting for next week! Is it going to be Trisha or AB? I’m not sitting on a cliff here because the previews of an AB breakdown tells me that she is really conflicted and foreshadows the exact opposite! But I’m only saying that because if it’s Trisha, I look like a complete idiot….which isn't exactly new for me!

Because it was all physical and then downhill from there. The whole, one night stand not one night sleep over and wake up in the morning together comparison if you will.

IMO, there was nothing really serious on Bianka's htd either.  all fun stuff.  There were serious conversations in Italy.  With Brad and Bianka, the only working "problem" they had was if she wanted him as he wants her.  Now with Trish/Tim, I see it as their conversation in Italy with regards to her accepting him in the end.  Somehow I think that will be brought up again too.

I can't help but look at the past htd's and refer to them when it comes to finding out if there are similiarities.

What does everyone think? Are there similiarities between Bianka/Trish and Whitney/April as far as the tenseness of the dates?

Both the HTD's went excellent for Tim and Trish as well as Tim and April. No one took Tim outside to give him the once-over or ask about Tim's intentions. April's YiaYia adored him and said her heart connected with his. Trish's parents didn't even talk with Tim at all or even comment on Tim in an ITM. We never heard Trish's parents say (as April's YiaYia did) that they really liked Tim and he was this or that. Weird that they said absolutely nothing at all? No ITM about Tim? Hmmm... Unless I totally forgot?

Regarding the upcoming Tim's MTP, what was the dynamic there for Brad's season when Whitney and Bianca met Brad's parents? That is more significant imo, than HTD for the girls since they were both great dates (with YiaYia showing her love for Tim and not much of anything said from Trish's parents in ITM).

There was a photo of Tim and Trisha's dad talking together on HTD that BachCan posted on their website.

To me, April's HTD was stressful. It was tense.

IMO, they really thought a lot of Bianka after a quick conversation in the kitchen with the three ladies(Brads sister and mom with Bianka)  The rest of the date went well.

Whit's was extremely tense.  There were problems between the sister/mom and whit.  It didn't go well at all.

So the freak out is definately the same day she meets his mom and dad.  They also sit around and discuss his choice (mom/ dad & Tim) and mom expresses "I don't know".

Yes, I previously posted it in the SC thread when HTDs aired but because it was not shown during the show and Auntie was showing what was shown on camera during last's seasons show, I didn't mention it in my post since that would not be comparable when viewing camera to camera.

Some differences from past/current seasons:
1) ITM's where Family talks about Bachelor on camera
Season 1: Bianca = Yes, Whitney = Yes (Both parents talk about Brad ITM on camera
Season 2: Trisha = No, April = Yes (YiaYia and Aunty talks about Tim on camera)

2) 1:1 with Family member/s and Bachelor alone on camera
Season 1: Bianca = Yes, Whitney = Yes
Season 2: Trish = No, April = No

As far as drama... that is left to interpretation. Watching Whitney's HTD is nothing like April's, imo. It was more like what Sachelle's was with her brother grilling Tim and then Sachelle's brother's ITM was like Whitney's dad's ITM (against and then slowly accepting). I see more similarities between Lisa and Sachelle's HTD (her brother that is) and Whitney than April.

There were no problems between April's family and April. In fact, YiaYia said I love you in German to Tim and April said 'you said it before I even did'...

Also, Whit's dad was like Sachelle's brother... very skeptical, tense, but then a bit accepting by the end of the night yet still cautious. This was not the case with April's family.... her YiaYia and April's aunt may have been cautious but they were in love with Tim by the end of the HTD, no caution at all. YiaYia said she felt like she knew him forever, that her heart was connected to his heart. Those are huge words of acceptance!.

And in comparison? not one word of acceptance is said by Trisha's parents about Tim in an ITM as we saw with April's YiaYia. Trisha's mom does an ITM but she only talks about Trisha, not Tim. April's family on the other hand was loving Tim by the end of the night.

Even when April goes to say goodbye to Tim she says to him "That was so good. You were so good" and Tim says "it went awesome!". The comparison between Whit's HTD and April's and them both being tense, especially after just watching them, doesn't hold. Talking about one's childhood and losing your father to partying is hard but not tense/awkward. The HTD with the family and April was very warm, the music created a mood but YiaYia is hugging Tim, telling him in German she loves him, did his mommy say that to him, and then how her heart is connected to his and she feels like she knew him forever?

I struggle to see the connection to April's date being tense/awkward and having re-watched Whitney's even Whitney's reaction to Brad was extremely awkward. April had none of that while with Tim and her family. She was so very comfortable with him and sitting there next to him and her family. No awkwardness or tenseness from April at all.
