Bachelor 19 - Whitney Bischoff

ITA she is ready for this and has really thought it through. The video of Chris asking her about moving to Iowa and her job.....clearly she has the perfect answer to his questions we just don't see them yet. She has already said if you love the person you will figure it out and I'm sure she has thought about job options. That's the great thing about nursing is there is job security and it can be a flexible career.....that's one of the reasons I went into nursing.

I still think that saying that and actually doing that are two very different things. And, she was the only one that didn't get a chance to actually see Arlington. I think that, if she ends up moving there, it will be a shock to her and much harder than she expected.
I feel like if Whitney and Chris end up staying together, they will probably move to Des Moines or Chicago. Chris had said that he would be willing to do that for Andi, and his stints on Bachelorette/Bachelor show that he probably doesn't need to be in Arlington full-time.

He has also mentioned making some significant life style changes

Well, if she is indeed f1 she's seen Arlington by now. And she certainly heard all about it from the others and I doubt they gilded the lily.

Will MTP be in Arlington? I always had the impression he was willing to move but still stay involved with the farm. I still think there will be a presence there. She wants to build a relationship with his parents so I would think they would spend some time with them. I think they have many options and I have a feeling Whittney has thought some of these issues through.

OK, no offense to any Becca fans that might reading, but many have the opinion that Chris' actions towards Becca are more attentive than to Whitney. The thing is, we might only be seeing the most positive actions towards Becca, and similar actions towards Whitney are not being shown to us. Now, I think Chris is plenty attentive to Whitney, but that's just me. In any case, we can't go too much on what we see. Who knows what we aren't seeing?

Believe it or not Chris is a pretty educated and professional guy. He does not have to live in Arlington. because of his career and professional choices he is able to live just about anywhere in Iowa that he wants .. But he does call Arlington his home. Part of his career choice is farming management so I have a feeling his own firm is well-maintained and well-managed

Exactly!! How can we judge when they are not showing us?! Plus, I think that Whitney and Becca are very different women.

Whitney came on show with a purpose: Chris!

I don't know if we heard why Becca came on show ... maybe more for the experience as a Cali girl? Either way, as a southern-raised Christian lady with high morals, Becca does not APPEAR to me to be a very flirtatious woman who chases men. As a sorority sister, Becca also SEEMs to be a real girl's girl and supportive friend (based on how happy she seemed to be for Whitney when she relayed her mural date).

As a late 1-on-1 date, Becca saw her friends form strong connections with Chris and as a result, might have been hesitant in coming between anyone.

Finally, Chris has a show to put on. I think he settled early on Whitney but needed to bring someone else to F2 and stayed as open minded as he could. He clearly likes and respects Becca and admires her beauty. She was a far better candidate for him to explore a relationship with than Carly (friend zone) and Britt who imploded and disrespected him. But exploring a relationship with Becca meant he had to put more effort into it than Whitney who was more than happy to meet him more than 1/2 way.

MVMOM, so very well put. It seems to me that we are so accustomed to seeing the bachelor very different than Chris. Most are self centered and non caring. His choice of the final four was what he thought was best. I would not be at all surprised if he feels terrible about Britt, but something he had to do. His statement, "I am here to find a wife", is something I feel he has not deviated from. He doesn't need a mean wife, ala the 2-1 date. Someone like Chris who is comfortable in his own skin, will choose his equal because he enjoys the challenge. And, someone who has the same objectives as him.

I could care less who he chooses, but all the reasons for coming on the show, are exemplified by his choosing Whitney, because she fits what he wanted. I also think she looked hard at Chris and decided she would go after him. I think they both got what they wanted. Now it remains to be seen if what they wanted was correct.

The fact that it was Chris' birthday on Whitney's hometown says a lot to me and the fact that he got to go back and hang at her apartment is pretty cool too. Pretty nice place she's got there for herself!

I just really see it with these two. He's in awe of her and with the preview for next week it just shows how much confidence he lacks. I feel like he's concerned he won't be able to make Whitney happy and it scares the heck out of him to pull such a successful happy woman away from her dream. What makes her dream and career any less important than his? I just think he doesn't think he's enough. But the great thing about whit is she makes him feel like a million bucks. He needs that. What a confidence booster she must be for him. And in the end, he's going to realize that he can complete "the puzzle" for her... By giving her a family, and that's what she's ultimately looking for and I think that's what Whitney will say to him next week. 

I think for this to work long term there has to be a concession between both of them. I really see them as a couple who will compromise unlike andi and Josh. They have the same priorities but are still a good ying to the others yang.

MVMom, if Chris settled on Whitney early, how do you explain his comments (said at least twice) that Jillian was in his top 3? I also believe when he let Megan go, he told her more or less that he thought she'd be there at the end. I believe he said in some interviews that who he thought he wanted changed as he got deeper into the process, IIRC.

How do those comments support the fact that he chose Whitney early? Or were those the girls he thought he'd bring to F2?
