General Chit Chat

Customs generally isn't a problem as long as whatever is being brought over isn't to much out of the guidelines. Although yesterday, three missing Afghan soldiers were stopped at the Rainbow Bridge which connects Niagara Falls New York and Niagara Falls Canada, trying to enter Canada, so they might be a little more stringent in the coming days.

Compromising and patience are key in any relationship!

Why is it so difficult to find a clock radio alarm clock? I need a new one, and just bought my 3rd one. It better be one that suits me, I'm tired of returning items. I'm blind without my contacts, how is anyone ever suppose to find those little buttons? Plus, I don't need a phone charger adapter wake up to ipod music insert phone here model!

My son says get over the 70's.

Getting old!

It seems more are utilizing their smart phones for alarms. I have to admit when I have not had my radio/alarm, I do rely on my phone.  I don't like "sleeping" with my phone though.

My son can't understand why I need an alarm, I should just use my phone. I sometimes like to have the radio on for those nights where I can't fall asleep. I listen to the crazy Coast to Coast am station which is on late/early morning.

(No wonder I can't fall asleep) They were talking about ghosts in the house last night.

I use my phone enough during the day/evening work related. It shuts off automatically at 9pm and I don't want to know what's going on during the night.

Plus on weekends, I like to turn the radio on while dozing to listen to the news/weather before I get started with my day.

We shall see if this one will get to stay or go back on the shelf.

GA do you have Walmart there? Mine has a bunch of clock radios. I have gotten used to my phone, but it is a dumb phone, so no radio.

Our clock radio is from Target and I love it because it has big numbers so is easy to see, has dual alarms, & doesn't need to be reset after the power's out. I use my iPhone alarm when traveling.

My BIL brought us some lovely maple syrup last time he visited. He lives near Toronto. He also brought me my favorite chocolate bar - Coffee Crisp.

Well the alarm clock is going back. I like the dual alarm. Radio first then buzzer. When the buzzer goes off, the button if far to small to find and shut off. The first one I got was at Walmart, they didn't have much of a selection. I will have to go over the border to find one or to a Best Buy. The numbers are big which I like, but the lowest light level is still to bright. The radio is crap.

The more I pay, the worse they function!

I can't even look at a Coffee Crisp, because I'll buy the two for one and eat them both!

The word amazing is IMO overused, but not in this case. Amazing!
