When my husband and I married over 30 years ago, a wise person told us "Wake up everyday and think what can you do for the other?". We have not done it EVERY day, but we are pretty darn good at thinking about what the other person needs or wants. Courtney and Jason have it, Doug has had it throughout and Jamie was so remorseful about being so self centered in the beginning, so she now has it. Vaughn and Monet do not come close to this idea. I want to believe that when they are with the right person they will be able to give, but I'm not so sure.

I definitely heard the host say there will be Married for One Year, following J & C and D & J. I hope it will be good for them to do this.

I'm confused. What is mediocre about Vaughn's job? Monet's manner towards Vaughn was abrasive. She had the audacity to be upset when he said a wife should cook and then expect him to swallow her demeaning comments about his ambition.

I'm not sure what's so different from Monet saying she wanted a man to fix things around the house. Is that not stereotypical? So it's okay for Monet to say that, but it's not okay for Vaughn to want his wife to cook him dinner a few times a week? I'd say that's hypocritical. Being critical, cold, rude and abrasive is not the way to a man's...or woman's heart. They were just grease on a fire to each other and it was painful to watch.

Oh Bee I agree with you. I just didn't agree with Ariela's assessment of Vaughn's job or suggesting that Monet was somehow blameless.

Notice how that article doesn't mention that 2 couples stayed together, but the outcry from some at the premiere episode?

I am glad they are being very stringent with the rules. They take this process very seriously and that's the way it should be.

Who was the host?

Kevin Frazer. He is well known. He's on ET, Fox Sports and a host of other anchorman jobs. I think he recently switched from The Insider to ET or vice versa.

I watched the next day on Hulu as I already posted, and I agree 100% with you Thomigirl. Were we even watching the same show as that tweeter? CALM NOT

I took that as a joke although it would be nice if they do it. 

I thought both Monet & Vaughn came across badly on the show. Obviously there was some resentment on both sides.
