Once a "couple" has gotten two or three roses from the other person in the couple, they are sent on their merry way as they are no longer willing to mingle with others to form relationships. I think this could work as more people would be brought in but once you are in an established couple you are sent off into the sunset.
I think that the only problem with that is that it eliminates any possible drama, because no one can "steal" anyone. Like, I think that Brooks/Sarah seemed to have a lot of chemistry (in the 5 min that we saw). I would have loved to see them go on a date and Brooks/Robert battle it out for Sarah. However, if we did it the way the podcast recommends, Robert/Sarah had already reached that "two/three" rose point and would have been forced to leave already. Plus, it would be impossible for any couple to have a real shot in the real world, because two/three rose ceremonies is the equivalent of about 10 days. That's definitely not enough time to determine whether you really want to date the person IRL.
I think the idea could work if there was a limitless number of interesting ex-contestants, but there just aren't. I was bored by half the cast members THIS season, and these were the most "famous" of the bunch (with a few exceptions, but those people would probably never do the show).
Why isn't 10 days enough to know if you want to date in real life. Date, not marry, so after ten days sure.
I would have liked the leaving and new people. It became a little boring this week. I can't see MM with Brooks. To me is a little bit of a black widow having been with enough men.

Maybe Fleiss is going for his wedding at the end of Paradise, that's why he is keeping them around the whole time? LOL. JK. Sort of...

Didn't Michelle know Brooks already before Des' season? I thought I remembered that. IA that it would have been more interesting if Brooks had come earlier in the season.

I'm on this train as well. Brooks was one of the few there I was sure had a functioning brain. And he's very witty.

I am with you about MM and Brooks. I really enjoyed his 5 minutes banter with Sarah, they seemed to have great chemistry. They were very playful, and had ease of conversations. They should have let both go out on a date.

I just don't think it's enough time. Especially, since most of these people don't live close to each other. Lacy is moving to TX to be with Marcus. Cody is moving to UT to be with Michelle. Would they really be willing to do that after 10 days? I don't think so, and I think the show wouldn't be content ending with just "these people are going to possibly casually date when they leave". I think an ending with someone moving or an engagement is much more what TPTB are looking for. Plus, if you take a couple like Marquel/MM who gave each other "two/three" roses, they would have been forced to leave at that point. Michelle would never have been able to meet Cody, who she obviously has a much better connection with.
And, I personally don't think about MM with Brooks, but people mentioned it and I guess it could have possibly worked. I personally wanted to see Sarah/Brooks.

I maybe wrong, but given how late in the game Cody came in, yes, he is moving to UT to be with MM after 10 days.

Actually, it's 9.

Re: Bachelor In Paradise - Episode 6 September 1 2014 - General Discussion - *Spoilers*
As for the successful "couples" moving out..... Viewers need couples to root for. Couples they are emotionally invested in. They heavily rely on that ratings-wise. Also, these people receive stipends for every RC they make it through.... What's the fun in settling down early and leaving with your chosen one?... You won't get the money and you won't be on TV(to gain exposure). Majority of the people only came on the show for those two reasons...

Chloe, any idea of TPTB's thoughts of Brooks??
