During Hy and Josh's conversation, I remember that when Hy was challenging Josh as to whether theirs was just a fleeting romance, Josh was purposely strong in his response that his love would be lasting.

He knew the hard questions from Hy were coming and he had prepared himself to be strong in his convictions, which he knew would gain Hy's respect.

I sort of always wondered also if Hy's comment about nervousness (which we heard said during Josh's MTP date) might have been said about someone else and edited to make it look like it was said about Josh. Reacting as I think a father would when someone asked for my daughter's hand in marriage I would have reacted positively to Josh's confidence, positive assured statements and good eye contact.

Well I can try.

This is not all original thoughts but a paraphrased set of descriptions I have found that resonated with me:

An Alpha Female is NOT afraid to submit to an Alpha Male; an Alpha Female will accept a "protector" even though they don't feel that they NEED one. An Alpha female will probably be dominant over all but her Alpha male but she will respond to and probably melt in the presence of her Alpha male, responding to the Alpha side of the male, who will in turn understand the Alpha side of the female by recognizing her strengths and allowing her to show strengths in her own areas. In the presence of the Alpha male the Alpha female no longer feels it necessary to be in charge at all times and will share "power" with the Alpha male.

I think if we look at some of the things Andi has said, beginning with the People Magazine article where she pointed out how many things Josh now "wins" in their discussions we can see how she is sharing / relinquishing some of that "power and control" which is not something she normally has done in her past; Andi is showing a softer side now that she's accepted Josh as her protector. I think many have recognized some of the changes we see in Andi but it's those very changes that are telling signs of how an Alpha female will react to an Alpha male and IMHO Josh is clearly her Alpha male. I don't think Andi could make a relationship work with anyone who is not an Alpha male, she would only dominate them.

Which makes that week or two in the middle of filming all the more interesting. Starting with an off-camera (or deleted scene) discussion of trust between Andi and Josh, followed by questions about trust raised by the lie detector test date, IMHO trust became as real a part of their relationship as is possible in the bubble. I'm sure that wasn't the end of it either as I believe it was further solidified after the filming was over and they were living together. But it kind of makes you wonder - why the show interjected that date which was all about trust when they did.

IMHO the issues of trust and power sharing between two alphas is a never ending process - or at least it should be. Two alphas can clash in conflict - or they can work together to forge an iron-clad bond with two strong personalities on the same side and you can't stop working; the rewards are worth it.

I think Andi checks most of the boxes that are descriptive of an alpha female, and Josh checks most of the boxes descriptive of an alpha male. Their relationship checks most of the boxes of what happens when an alpha female pairs up with an alpha male. I suspect this was known to the producers when they cast this season.

I think you're absolutely right, and they were probably rubbing their hands together with glee at this perfect match they'd found for Andi. And this is why I don't get it when people complain about how boring this season was because "of course" Andi was going to pick the jock from Atlanta. First, there were no guarantees that she and Josh would even get along, and she's even said that she almost sent him home the first night. He could have turned out to be a complete d-bag, for all anyone knew. And second, if you're the producers and you have this guy who's so perfect for the lead on paper, why WOULDN'T you cast him to see what happens? They would have been crazy not to. After all, the whole point of the show is to produce a relationship that leads to marriage. Success stories like Andi & Josh boost the franchise's legitimacy and actually make it look like a viable, sane way to meet your husband/wife.    Of course you're going to cast the guy who checks all the lead's boxes, ESPECIALLY if he lives in the same city. And really, I give major props to the casting department -- they've been doing a bang-up job lately.

Ugh, I can't take how beautiful these two are together. It's disgusting.

LOL! Too funny. It's absolutely insane and so unfair how gorgeous they are. (Although -- and I say this reluctantly and with great fondness -- Josh could probably stand to do up ONE more button. Just one, though.    )

Isn't it weird to think about a time when these two WEREN'T together? They were seriously fated for each other.

It's interesting because unlike Deanna, who Andi reminded me most when the season started, she didn't want a man she could dominate. I think those types of guys totally disgusted her in how she talked about Brian on their 1:1 and his inability to take charge. I loved those PIs, she's hysterical.

That was hilarious! She just literally could not fathom what the heck was wrong with Brian and why he wasn't trying harder to throw her against the fridge and ravage her.

ETA: Ha! My husband just texted me to say "Your buddy made it through the first round of cuts." (My "buddy." He's so excited that we're bonding over football.) So -- Yay Aaron!! Looking good so far!

Chiefs coach Andy Reid said he’ll rest most of his starters, including quarterback Alex Smith and Jamaal Charles, in Thursday night’s preseason finale at Green Bay.

Backup quarterback Chase Daniel will start and play the first quarter, and Tyler Bray and Aaron Murray will split the last three quarters.

So Aaron will get alot of playing time Thursday night in GB.. this game will likely determine whether Aaron or Tyler get the 3rd QB spot on the active roster. Wonder if Josh is going to the game, the Murray's have to be somewhat nervous?
