I felt that way with Chris and Des. If they skip their wedding and do Josh and Andi, I would be disappointed. I am not a huge fan of Josh and Andi's so for me, I would prefer Lacy and Marcus. They are just more my favorite.

The timing of BiP is not different than the timing of Bachelor Pad, so I am not sure the big deal.

Josh and Andi are also laying fairly low in Atlanta, so they are not out actively seeking to stay in the spotlight either. For them they may actually be happy for the focus to not be so sharp on them.

I understand the essence of your post. I don't feel that the "success" of BIP necessarily takes anything away from Andi & Josh's love story as that is really between the two of them; perhaps it takes away from tabloid and fan following of their love story because there's something else for the tabloids and fans to focus on but fans really don't contribute to their love story. To an extent it does make it harder to follow Josh and Andi because there's less written about them.

I don't know what effect - if any - the Lacy + Marcus engagement or potential TV wedding would have on Josh & Andi's potential TV wedding - maybe none, maybe the network would decide to air one and not the other or maybe they would do both. There was actually a wedding from BP (Blake & Holly) and their engagement was shown but not their wedding so maybe past practice suggests a BIP wedding might not be televised.

It's an unfortunate fact of life but the wedding specials usually don't draw as many viewers as the normal episodes do. I'm not sure that it matters much to either Andi or Josh one way or the other and I'm also not sure it matters much to Lacy and Marcus either.

I don't know why the network seems to be showing little interest in televising a Des & Chris wedding; no matter what rationale I seem to be able to come up with it never seems to really be a good logical explanation.

I agree! I think both Des & Chris and Andi & Josh deserve to be considered for a TV wedding. The show gets us invested in them as couples and it would be nice to see them follow through. But at the same time, it used to be a rare thing for a couple from this franchise to make it down the aisle. Maybe since they have more successful couples recently they simply can't keep up and don't want to spend the money. It's a shame, because I thought that was what the show was suppose to be about.

Most decisions like this come down to a matter of money - how it's going to be made and how little needs to be spent to make it - and those issues tend to override any emotional ones (like fans deserving to see the end of the story). As you mention though, after a pretty long dry spell they have a number of "successful" couples around right now and maybe they don't feel they need all of them to keep the premise alive.

Marcus & Lacy have been quoted as saying they would be waiting at least a year or so before getting married and Josh&Andi would like to get married in May on their anniversary. Don't see them getting passed on a tv wedding for M&L unless they prefer it to be in Atlanta, not on tv, or they can't come to an $$ agreement as mentioned above. Don't think we have anything to worry about though! ;)

This is another reason why I don't think Andi is a strong woman. She is obviously having issues with negativity that is in the media. If she is happy and secure in her relationship and happy with herself as a person, why should any comments that are not true bother her.

I am not trying to be mean, I'm trying to understand. Emily and now Nikki displayed/s the same attitude. Rather than focus on all the positive, which there is a lot of, they focus on the one or two negatives.

I think Andi is very strong and Josh makes her stronger. She, "they" will be just fine. We will be celebrating their wedding soon. Hugesmile

I don't think it has anything to do with strength. I think it's a very human reaction. Nobody likes to have lies spread about them by anonymous people. I think it's an annoyance and feeling that way IMO doesn't mean she's not focused on the positive or not strong. I think they are very focused on the good and are extremely happy.

ITA - and with Soccermom's post too. I think the signs of weakness are more from those who like to use SM to spread rumors under the guise of anonymity. Human nature makes it hard to completely ignore lies that become reported as facts, but it seems that Andi and Josh are strong enough and confident enough of their relationship that they are rising above the mire!

Just me, but the best way to rise above is to ignore. Even posts like this acknowledge the negativity. People who take the time to post negative things on SM are hoping to upset and get a response. So by posting this, she gives them the attention they want.

No point in taking anytime in your life away for them. Maybe the problem is that Andi has too much time on her hands? I am not being sarcastic. If Josh is now working two jobs with his financial adviser and actually trying to do Advocare and not just cash in on his name, then he is a busy guy. Maybe if Andi goes back to work or volunteers or something it might help with this?

This is my feeling about Nikki and Andi. They are both enjoying the perks of their fame, so they will also have to learn to deal with the negativity.

I agree with the other posts saying that Andi is indeed strong. The thing is though, everyone no matter their strength has a breaking point. I mean the rumours started July 29, we're almost three months post-show and still they persist. While you brush them off your back the first month or two, after a while they do take a toll on you because it's like when would it end? But I'm happy Andi is with Josh and he is a HUGE support system for her. He is her rock, he'll protect her like he said he would, so I'm not worried in the least about both of their futures togethers.
