IMO, I don't think all of Andi's (and Josh's by associate) followers on IG came about organically. I think they didn't get them the old-fashioned way.  :hidingchair 

Really why?  If they were buying them most people would buy them on twitter, which is very common....  

Actually, buying them on Instagram is very, very popular. I know of several big fashion bloggers for example who have done that in order to appear more popular to brands for advertising.

I just look at the jump Andi's took and it doesn't appear to be natural. She had quite a following being the lead already, and then they just jumped up way too fast for me to believe it simply happened naturally.

Really? From what I saw, as I was following her SM closely for clues before the season even aired, it appeared to be pretty natural. From what I remember, while she was filming the show she was already up to over 300,000. I always thought it seemed to gradually progress considering she was over 600,000 by the time the end of the season came about. With Josh it was really similar as well. I've heard of people buying Twitter followers, but never with IG, but that's just me.

She certainly had a controversial season. I don't think it's that far fetched to believe that 700k is the actual number.

But why would you buy followers on IG, the only thing you put on there are pictures the only thing you do is like photos, if she wanted to show her popularity it should have been on twitter...

^Instagram is becoming very popular with brands to advertise. Celebs, fashion bloggers, reality stars, etc. are always giving shout-outs to brands for products they like. More followers makes it look more profitable to the brands.

It'd make more sense for Cat to buy votes than either Andi or Josh since Cat is trying to sell something. However I don't think any of them did. It's not surprising with the season just ending that they have a lot of followers. As far as Sean/Cat they've been doing events non-stop so I'm not surprised by their numbers.

You are correct!     Love how they have so many fans. Their numbers went crazy at the finale and after too.  Josh has a huge following of "dawgnation."   Not surprised in the least.

Definitely. I finished watching the finale at 11:00 Pacific time and their SM was going crazy. My daughter kept piping up every so often with how many IG followers Josh was gaining: "Mom, he's up to 300K!" "Now he's at 350K!" And granted, I'm not sure how the process of purchasing IG followers works, but they went straight from ATFR to Jimmy Kimmel to the airport, flew to New York and went directly to GMA and then to Kelly & Michael. When would they have had time?

In the few vid's that I've watched, I noticed Josh is the one that takes over the conversation. It's almost as if he wants control, to avoid any slip ups by Andi. I watched the one earlier, they were being interviewed by a young girl. I do not like the digs Andi gives him. She was making fun of him for loosing the group date basketball game.

I personally do not like it when one partner finds the need to constantly point out the negative or ridicule the other, let alone in the media. I realize it's joking around, but it's not funny to me at all. Why not say something like, he really tried to win that game, he was upset he lost, he's a good basketball player? He on the other hand, said she wasn't that bad, when Andi said she can't play basketball at all.

It doesn't bother me how they joke with each other.  I don't get the impression he's trying to take control.  In that interview he didn't say  anything until he was asked a question.  IMO he doesn't back away from interviews but he doesn't try and push her out either.  I like the fact they both can hold their own in interviews.  

It doesn't bother me either, and it obviously works for them. She wasn't making fun of him for losing the game -- she was teasing about the fact that the guys, as a group, got beat by a bunch of girls who barely broke a sweat. They were at a WNBA game and she was making a point about how awesomely skilled the women are. I also don't think Josh is trying to take control of the interviews because Andi can't be trusted. Their first radio interview was on a sports station so obviously they were going to chat about sports with Josh. He spent a lot of time talking because they asked him a lot of questions. The second interview was more Bachelorette-focused so they both contributed equally. Basically I think they just can't win and there's always going to be criticism of their relationship, no matter what they do. I'm glad they have such a great, strong partnership and are getting through all this together.

speaking for myself. I know I wasn't an Andi fan but I was impressed by how she handled herself throughout her season and even more impressed with her handling of the after show, so I was 1 of those who followed her after the show ended and my follow wasn't bought and I am sure there were pple like me that were waiting for her final decision to make sure she was choosing our F1 for her,. I know it is not popular opinion here but a lot of this show viewers were actually rooting for Andi and Josh and 700,000 out of millions of viewers is not far fetched, my opinion of course. it seems btw that these 2 can't win though, no matter what.Again, my opinion.

I agree with you, lex, that many viewers waited till the end to start following them. I remember it happens with a lot of the other leads and F1's and now there are so many more people on sm.

Also I'll say again for what purpose would they bother to buy follows? They aren't like Cat, Chris/Des or even Emily trying to sell something.
