Well I will agree that the interview seemed off in a way that we haven't seen in some of the more recent interviews. I saw tweets wondering if she was burping him . I don't know what was up with that.

That is essentially what I said to a forum buddy today--it reminded me of burping my grandson. I thought an alien was gonna pop outta his mouth any minute.

Relaxing and jlccaz summed up perfectly my opinions as well. Andi has always been fake to me, right from JPG's season. What I noticed since then, is she thinks she is now better at being fake.
The red carpet interview was an example of that with her non stop blabbing of nothing, overuse of facial expressions and the use of yeahhhhh.

I find it so interesting how differently people can interpret the same situation. I didn't see anything off or different in this interview then I have seen in their other interviews. Andi likes to talk, Josh always gazes at her attentively when she's talking, she is very attentive towards him as well often looking up at him while she is talking, and she likes to rub him...a lot. Call it nerves, anxiety or just plain affection. I'm a very touch feely person as well, it's the Italian in me. But she did the same thing to his thigh in all their post finale interviews too so it's not that unusual or new for her. I've watched that scene back on my DVR like 20 times today and I still don't get what the fuss is about. Her rubbing of his back was more a slow up and down motion, which is more seductive IMO (burping is more of a patting motion. I'm both a mom and a pediatric nurse, and I've never seen an infant burped with that motion). Strange Comparison. But people will see what they want to see, and I think with twitter etc, once something is brought up, everybody jumps on board with it and makes it into a bigger deal than it needs to be. Same thing happened with the "eyebrows on fleek", which was so annoying to me. Just my opinion.

Could've been nerves for sure! I just thought it looked odd and that was the first thing I noticed really (the back rubbing), I was distracted by the large strokes . I'm not interpreting that to mean there are issues or that a break up is looming though or that they're faking it. I thought the the moments inside the studio were cute.
Also you can burp a baby by rubbing their back too, I guess that's where the references come in.
Eyebrows/hair on fleek means she looked good, why is that annoying?

You know, you bring up a good point with the bolded, I think she has trouble knowing how to "human" appropriately sometimes when there is a lot of attention on her. Eric called her out on it because it was obvious to him and we could see it when she was in that large group at the beginning with so many guys swarming. She could have been nervous about debuting her dress also, which I personally liked. And regardless of what is really happening with the wedding (nothing at all, negotiating for a tv wedding, whatever), giving a none answer cannot feel good and she knew they didn't have one.bleuberry wrote:Could've been nerves for sure! Carrie: What an amazing observation!

Alana, I'm trying to understand the last part of your post. Are you saying that she was not confident in her response in the interview and that was why she was nervous and acting "strangely" as some would surmise?

I just think that no engaged woman essentially wants to be Pam Beesly with Roy, forever engaged, and having no concrete answer to that question for months now cannot be a pleasant thing for her.aviej wrote:Alanna wrote:You know, you bring up a good point with the bolded, I think she has trouble knowing how to "human" appropriately sometimes when there is a lot of attention on her. I know it's a positive thing, but most all of the comments on their IG pics said that and I just found it annoying, that's all.bleuberry wrote:Could've been nerves for sure! Ok yeah, and knowing how much Andi takes planning seriously, it must irk her that she doesn't have control of the single most important event of her life.

I typically don't comment on clothing or make up. Those things don't interest me too much. She looked fine to me on the premiere.
What I found extremely distracting was all of the back rubbing. The only thing I can attribute it to was nervous energy, but WHY so much nervous energy? Uncomfortableness with the red carpet? Seems odd, as they have been in the spotlight before. Feeling awkward about not being able to openly discuss their wedding plans/hope for televised wedding/or lack of planning? Having a rehearsed/planned response for those expected questions would have helped. Every engaged couple knows those questions are bound to be asked. Why the lame blabbering about needing to taste food? Made them sound foolish, imo. Or was it just way too much caffeine from all that Advocare stuff? IDK. I only know that something was odd about their behavior. Maybe it's nothing, but it was a bit odd, imo.

The back patting/rubbing/burping whatever you want to call it is not new. It's a nervous tell of hers. I couldn't tell you how often I've witnessed her do it--if it's been 2 times, 3 or more. It's something she does.
The inane babbling and cutting Josh off mid-sentence and talking over him, that's been done before, too, but seemed worse than usual. JMOAA
