Yes, I am an NFL fan! Didn't follow the Chiefs until this year. Actually I'm a Bronco fan and they're in the same division so unless Aaron's playing I will root against them..

Aaron's in a nice position to be playing for a great head coach and will learn from a veteran starting QB, would be ideal for him to move up to a backup position next year.

Thanks for the scoop laurentx! You might have already mentioned this but do you happen to know when Aaron's next game is?

The Chiefs play the Green Bay Packers on Thursday the 28th at 6 pm Central.

Right now their roster is at 90. By Tuesday afternoon they're required to be down to 75. And by the 30th they have to be down to their final 53.

Earlier today it was announced that St. Louis QB Sam Bradford is out for the year due to injury. I just read some scuttle that KC could possibly offer to trade Chase Daniel (current backup).

^^^ Could be him, but there are others who might be traded for that spot. For instance, the Patriots have a backup who is pretty ready to play and they have a high (higher than Aaron) draft pick to boot. I would expect Aaron to stick with the Chiefs, though and the old number two to find a new home somewhere.

If Aaron isn't picked for the 53 man roster, there is always the practice squad, which is now up 10 members per team as opposed to 8. However, he would have to clear waivers, meaning no other team claims him, for him to be on the PS in KC. It would be ideal for him if the Chiefs kept 3 QBs on their roster, but that's not a guarantee.

I should add that Aaron should be plenty of playing time in GB on Thursday. The starters rarely play if at all. I know our starter, Aaron Rodgers, isn't playing at all neither will some of the other veterans. Aaron will have a big opportunity to prove he's worthy of that roster spot. But personally, I hope his team loses. Smiley

Gosh honestly I have no idea what all these football terms mean but the jist of it makes me nervous for Kacie!! Hope it all works out.

^I definitely would have advised Kacie to wait til final cuts were made before she made the move.

Agreed, umngirl. Hopefully, Aaron had some sort of private assurance which could give Kacie some assurance. But their aren't too many coaches would would play their hand early- and I don't really think that Andy Reid would.

Agreed that Aaron should see significant playing time this week.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I'm having fun reading the many discussions (still catching up) and viewing the amazing videos. Y'all are an amazing bunch. I missed a lot. I figured they live either in Buckhead or Brookhaven because of where they've been out to dinner, hang out, etc. Since we're neighbors, I hope to run into them & get a pic some time soon. High clap

I am a football fan too! So will be nice to have you updating this board on football with Aaron! How exciting for the Murrays!
