You're right! A reminder why politics needs to stay out of the equation! It's so easy to get sidetracked.

I doubt that Chris would bring politics into the bachelor show coz he's looking for a wife, not a representative! However, doesn't stop him expressing his political opinion in his personal life. One of the beautiful things about this country is freedom of speech.

Regardless of what we personally think, the only people to whom his political affiliation should matter is the women who are potentially going to be on the show.  So long as they (meaning Chris and his potential wife) can get along with each other's views, that's all that matters.

I noticed the show will be running against CBS' Big Bang Theory next winter, unless CBS flips this show out of the currently scheduled time slot. It will be interesting to see if this affects TB's ratings. This will be major competition.

BBT has been moved to Monday's threw football season, since CBS is doing Thursday night football.  It moves back to it's regular spot the end of October and the rest of the Thursday line up premier that same day (I think I remember reading the 30th).  And my understanding was it would stay in its normal spot after that, but I could've misunderstood (was quickly skimming article and line ups and it was a while ago).  So, unless they move it again in January for some reason, I think it should be in it's normal Thursday time slot at that point.  

But it would be interesting to what the ratings would do/be for each if BBT and TB went up against each other.  Personally, I would watch BBT first then switch to TB if they were up against each other.

Me too, about watching BBT first. I love that show. I watch repeats over and over again on another channel if nothing else is on---it's so funny and always cheers me.
I didn't realize it would flip back to Thurs.  I always hate seeing a show move around, but I hate to see it following Thurs night football, too. Some of my once upon a time fav shows were on Sunday and I hated the fact the game always bounced them around.

I hate to see a show I love up against TB.

BBT's on Monday, against the Voice?  Ugh!  BBT comes first.  It is like watching my husband and his co-workers.

Glad to not have to decide in the winter as the Bachelor would lose.

BBT is going to be up against DWTS though as well as the Voice and I think it will be interesting to see what happens to the ratings for DWTS given the changes they are having this time around. I was not going to watch it anyway since the announcement of their new judge but they will probably lose others that are BBT fans.

I'll watch BBT then change over to The Voice.  Stopped watching DWTS a while ago.

Ran across these tweets earlier.   Haven't had time to really jump in and do any digging, but wanted to put these here for those that want to sleuth.  Might be a good place to start.  Wonder if it's filming stuff with Chris or maybe some of the girls intros?  Might be nothing, but can't hurt to look into them.
