Bachelorette 10 - Andi Dorfman - Episode 10 - MTP-LCD-FRC- July 28/14 **NO SPOILERS**

So I said I'd share a situation where body language might lead one astray and here's the one I was thinking of:

On Matt Grant's season (or the Year of the Britt and the Twitt) those of us watching Matt's body language were sokmewhat confused, and also wrong about the ending. We saw somewhat of a love connection between Matt and his F3 - Amanda (who did the fake parents HTD which was, IMHO, hilariously funny) and yet - she was F3 and Shane Lamas was F1. They didn't last long.

But what we ended up realizing was that Matt wanted a show business career and didn't really care about finding a wife or a love match, and because Shane had show business connections, she was the choice he made. If we had more clearly understood what Matt was actually looking for, we would have figured that out. But we never saw Matt's vody language interacting with Hollywood, so body language couldn't help us.

But to the extent that love is what drives the lead in their decision, it's hard to fool body language because it's very rare that someone can consistently go through all the filming and fake it.

There is no space for Andi to sit on. Uh huh. No space. Bad, TPTB. Cost cutting?

Poor Andi. She had to sit on Josh.

   your post always crack me up.  They probably spent all the money on Nick's room since they had to film there twice.   We can't have the camera crew in small places like they were on Nick's HTD and they broke dishes.

Nick got the larger suite because TPTB and those darn interns as GG said had to cut their production costs. tsktsktsk   

Why?

Why give Josh a bigger suite when...

TPTB will let go of Josh after the FRC.....       



and transfer Josh to ANDI'S SUITE

AND WILL HAVE THE WHOLE DAMN RESORT TO THEMSELVES AFTER THE FINAL ROSE CEREMONY!

I was going to go into the BL difference more, but ran out of time. It is such a stark contrast, but at this point I just felt nobody need another long post from me that was for Josh and against Nick as F1 since we all see it in here.

To sum it up short and sweet. I think Nick likes her and maybe is now falling in love with her, but when he said he was FIL his BL does not match his words. Not looking at her and not even touching her. Maybe he thought he was, but his BL tells me something different. I personally think he said it to get a rose. :hiding chair  I also didn't like his BL when he told her ILU. He did look at her from time to time though so I will give him that and was when he said ILU, but his hands were in his pockets and he was leaning into the tree, not Andi. Then she, after waiting for him, had to lean in for the kiss, just like she did when he said he was FIL and just like she did when he finished reading the poem. (In seeing the poem Josh read Andi in his package it made me realize that Nick did his poem to her on the GD, just after Josh did on his 1on1). It's possible Nick thought he was FIL and was IL with Andi, but his BL tells me that may be just in his head. I blame the Bachelor Bubble more than him. Some may think she is chasing, but I see chasing very different. Chasing is when she is begging Josh for basically 2 episodes to tell her he is FIL. Chasing is when you get in a pool and Josh starts backpedalling away from her, and she litrally chases him to stay close. Andi is shutting it down and it all started when Josh finally told her he was FIL. That was when she knew she was going to get her fairytale.

I know there are Nick fans out there and I don't mean to offend. This is just how I see it.

Since it is the Final Rose Ceremony. It is but fitting we look back on Nick’s very, very strong prediction that HE IS The Last Man Standing.

Please masticate my post a few episodes back. Read carefully my transcription of Nick’s very4x confident (cocky?) statements about Andi’s feelings for him.

Please note how so certain Andi is gonna pick him in the end.

Before I reply to your posts upthread, let me begin first by saying I just watched the deleted video of Josh and Andi:

When Andi said and I quote,

"Josh is extremely kind and caring. I look for that in those qualities in a guy. He’s kind. He’s compassionate. He has potential to be a great father and a great husband.” (from 00:05)

TPTB, this video solidified my opinion that you are freaking hiding many facets of Josh! When the heck was Josh kind? Wait, “EXTREMELY” kind, caring, compassionate. Did I miss an episode?!  For a second there, methinks, it was Nick getting the physical edit! Did Andi in anyway describe Nick as a great father and a great husband?! Didn’t Andi describe Nick’s relationship as “passionate” then showed them making out under a tree! We would have loved to have “witnessed” what Andi is talking about regarding Josh!TPTB, I heychoo!!!  I am comforted that Andi knows Josh hence her F1. Still, I feel shortchanged! I like what I’ve seen with Nick and Andi when they’re together. TPTB was successful in weaving a very textured Nick albeit colorful “character”. But evidences cut out that would show Josh having a deeper connection with Andis now not just a guess! Statements from Andi such as these confirm that it was purposely hidden from us!   Jodi’s conversations revolved around doubts and “insecurities” when I’m now certain they’ve talked about much more than "that"! It’s a huge deal! I’m thoroughly disappointed for TPTB not showing us more Jodi moments. Therefore, this heightens my gut feel that Nick is the visible F2 and Josh the hidden F1.

I’ve another observation.

Am I right, don’t the F1 usually feel unsure he is the final one? Cloud of doubts hovers around him. Josh is not confident on Andi’s feelings for him. TPTB would put a seed of doubt on the F1 whereas to the F2, boy, they want drama in the end hence they will make the F2 believe HE IS IT! In the past, Jason would say that TPTB would tell him that he is Deanna’s pick that's why he went down on his knee and proposed! He was so confident he was the final pick. As already mentioned in previous posts, din’t Ben have that classic F2 “confidence” that's why he was “furious”, caught off guard, left the podium huffing and puffing?

Rewind Nick’s statements.   UhHuh. Confident, right? For some, “over” confident and arrogant. Classic F2 that would leave him heartbroken at the end.

How about Josh? He ain’t confident! What the heck is TPTB whispering to him?  

Confident F2 vs Uncertain F1

In episode 7, in a group date, Nick said about the guys left, “they don’t matter…” comparing himself with them, implying that the guys would like to be him, “they’d like to be, they’d want to be…”

... “at this point, I feel like it’s me and there’s no one else. There’s no second. There’s no third.”

And then in their little one on one, he bravely tells Andi that he feels Andi feels something for him, “I don’t want to put words in your mouth..I feel it”

In his ITM, “getting a rose says a lot of things..there are a lot of things (Andi) can’t say to me like I’m falling in love with you or you’re right for me or by the way I’m pretty sure I’ll marry you..”

Nick feels that when Andi gives him the HTD rose, “it’s her saying all those things back to me..” And finally when she was given the GDR, and with nary a doubt Nick says, “andi gives me the rose and I truly feel, I feel like she told me she loves me. I had confidence before. It’s at its peak.” To Nick, the GDR is a confirmation of Andi’s feelings to him.

Later when Nick comes back, his sincerity was questioned by the boys and he said, “I don’t care what the other guys think…. I’m confident I’ll end up with Andi.”

At the RC, talking about his coming HTD, he was excited to talk to his friends and family about Andi, “excited to tell them how I feel about her. I definitely found that person. Fallen in love with her and pretty sure she’s fallen in love with me. It’s pretty awesome…”

Nick was crying while he was saying this. I wanted to hug him and comfort him because I felt that this very, very confident man, full of emotions, crying. Would be the same man crying in the end.

As F2. TPTB is setting him up for a mighty heartbreak.  

Whereas Josh at his HTD, “I’m very protective of my entire family. And bringing somebody like andi is definitely bringing my guard down. Being vulnerable.. And a possible heartbreak because as much as I’m in love with her.. at the end of the day, she makes decision in the end…”

Awwww, babe.... (As andi would say    )

That to me is acknowledging there is another guy. He is sure of what he feels for Andi but he is uncertain of what Andi feels.

To me Nick’s confident attitude is a classic F2. Blindsided. Shocked. Heartbreak. Ben F/Lindsey/Clare like exit.

Whereas Josh. Would be a tearful mess just like in the HTD. Perfect romantic ending. JP/Catherine like ending.  Arggh. Cannot wait.

At the tvgrapevideo, at 5:52 “I feel andi falling in love with me. I feel it.(I’ve transcribed a similar “overconfident” statement about what Andi feels for him above) By now, i do not need to tell you to take "note" because Nick had been repetitive that he FEELS it. He feels Andi has fallen in love with him

With certainty. Nary a doubt.

At 6:62 Nick’s VO during FS, “Every step of the way when she had a chance to reassure me, she has done that.. “

When Nick and Andi where shown crossing the lil bridge towards their private lagoon.

Nick had an ITM.

And then... dundundun....

"Andi and I Have an amazing connection. It’s the kind of love that I always hope to have. I think I’m definitely ready to propose to Andi...

But I don’t know for sure how she feels about me. And.. I’m nervous about that.'

"I’ve gone this past before it’s important to me to not have any doubtsin my gut.."

"So going in this tonight if she is in love with me

and if im the person that she hopes to spend the rest of her life with

I need her to find a way to just let me know.."

"If I don’t know it’s me…

we’re not (getting) engaged.."

Then the abrupt transition to their night date/Nick giving gift...

Nick’s ITM. “I feel confident that she will always remember the first time I told her I love her… but I thought what a perfect way to do something that I think will be meaningful…

At 10:37 mark.. count 5 awful, akward seconds of DEAD SPACE. It was excruciating to watch.

I forgot the bachelorette who said, when the situation becomes akward, what does she do? SHE PULLS IN FOR A KISS! And that’s exactly what Andi did!

Listening to Nick and after I’ve transcribed tons of confident statements from him, “What happened to the cocky Nick who was so certain Andi has fallen in love with him?”

Suddenly Nick becomes uncertain of what Andi feels for him when throughout the episodes Nick was so, so certain.

My “theory” is Nick is sensing Andi already “pulling away from him”.

I actually found it weird for Nick to say …

I need her to find a way to just let me know.."

I’m like, “So It is Andiwho NEEDS TO FIND A WAY to let YOU know”….

But then I realized TPTB transitioned to LCD’s akward “date”.

Why?

Didn’t Nick ask for Andi’s sign?

Andi needs to let him KNOW! :Nod:

Nick claimed that Andi in every chance she gets,

she reassures him.

Then as if somebody took over Nick’s body, here is a man suddenly tentative of his relationship with Andi.

Wanting a sign from her that he is the one.  

Why the change from being so certain to “I need to know”.

Andi reassuring him EVERY step of the way to…

Andi needs to find a way to let me know..

Nick got his answer, all right.

TPTB cleverly transitioned "his Question" to the akward LCD as the sign Nick was asking for.

The sign?

Nick who “sees every part” of Andi.

Nick who “gets me”…

I have a feeling he noticed at the RC after the FSD. He didn't look as confident as he normally did in the past. When Josh is getting his rose he's looking down.

Poor, salty Nick. Travel in time back to the beach in the DR, and travel forward to Nick watching these epos where he was so confident and his true love was falling for another. Nick doesn't even get the consolation prize of being TB. He goes back to Chicago - what kind of Walk of Shame is there for an F2? At least he didn't get sent off on a one-way boat like Ben… Oh, wait: we don't know Nick's fate!

I will be watching on the west coast, and ironing to justify being alone in the bedroom after dinner, and not entertaining our houseguest. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. I have spent so many finales not at home that this is my night.

You brought up a great point that I was going to mention in my BL post that I really never did.  The BL by all three was VERY telling.  Nick couldn't even look at Josh, especially when he was getting his rose.  Josh on the other hand was VERY confident. Andi, well at first I wondered if Nick was even there because she spend most of her time looking at Josh. She was looking at Josh when right before calling Nick's name, as she was hugging Nick, and as Nick was walking back. When giving Josh his rose she looked at him the whole time. Then when she hugs Nick after she has given out all the roses she looks at Josh again the whole time and then hugs Josh.  Then when she is talking Josh is conversing while Nick says nothing, at least that we see.  The last comment doesn't really mean much except the different state of mind these two guys were in at the time.

I2D it's so good to see you have your priorities straight. Who are these twisted people that would think intruding on Bachelorette Monday, especially the finale, is OK? You need better friends.  :winkie:
