I think this ... if you believe what Andi is saying she wants in a partner, you believe she picks Nick.

Andi said this about Nick: "I feel hopeful and safe and I feel like when Nick looks at me he sees every part of me; my heart, my mind, my soul. I don't know how to describe it because I've never felt that way before. It's a once in a lifetime type of stuff. I feel very lucky that I've met somebody like Nick."

Why would someone looking for that "Great Love" ... not settling ... give that up?

If you've got 30 minutes, take that time and go to the Nick Video thread. Watch their interaction for the first four episodes ... before the house drama starts. I was unspoiled for first four episodes so really missed quite a bit of their early connection and as Nick said that they just may have a shot. I watched again this morning and it's pretty clear to me that they clicked early, why they clicked early and her delight with their connection.

A fantastic scene is dinner of ep 3. The two of them are really in deep conversation and then Andi stops to say something about, "you may have noticed that there was a rose on the table."

Watch Nick's reaction. He really seems genuine when he says, something like, "oh, I didn't even notice. I was looking at you."

As the season progressed so too did their relationship. I can see why she'd quit a job that she loved for the man that she loves: Nick.

The only way that I believe Andi does not pick Nick in the end is if her motives for going on the show were not to find a "great love" but to put herself in a position to launch a career in broadcast vs. law.

I liked that part too. I actually find it quite interesting, how most guys were acting so preoccupied and anxious over getting the rose on their dates. Nick didn't. He was "pensive", he was over-thinking about what each move meant and what message could the rose hold on each step of the way ... but when he was with Andi, he focused on her and not to please her for getting the rose, but of course he was hoping that at the end she would see it through and appreciate him for who he is and give it to him. To me, the rose ceremony (on RC or 1on1 or GD), that moment of "Andi's question of acceptance" and her pinning the rose to his jacket (or whatever garment), was always a silent talk between them. The look on her face was always gentle and open receiving, his was an offer and comfortable realization of being accepted just the same.

I have to say overall I really loved Andi's early interactions with Nick and Josh best and both relationships have kind of degraded rather than ramped up for me, why I'm not too excited for tonight. I'm puzzled, because it's usually opposite. I loved Andi with Nick in ep 1, when they went out front after she got the flowers (my fav), on their date and at the after party in Conneticut. I felt I was watching a great love story. (Have to admit, I thought Josh and Andi had great, cute chemistry in those eps too, I just liked Nick and her so much together). Once France came, both relationships kinda of turned for me. Didn't like Andi and Josh together when we saw a whole date and then she starts in on the trust issues and he gets his back up about the lie detector. I haven't liked them since. And with Nick, I don't know what, but Andi started to seem more forced and Nick stayed sweet and open and progressing, while she didn't. Though I still enjoyed a lot of their moments and tree kisses, I think because I had no doubt she picked Josh, it was harder to get that "awwwww" feeling with her and Nick, knowing what was to come.

I guess overall, although Andi did a good "job" being Bachelorette, I just don't care for or about her much and that became clearer to me as the show went on. I really did like the Andi who I saw with Nick in the early episodes and the Andi she was with Marcus throughout his time. Not interested at all in the Andi she is with Josh.

Yes, the editors scare me a lot in this show. I have been fooled a few times in thinking there was a love story only to have the lead choose someone else. I am prepared for any outcome.

That's their job and they do it well, hence the popularity and longevity of this show. If we could tell from day one who they picked, they'd lose half their viewership - only the ones who were for "team Final 1" would keep watching.

I like that we really don't know what the heck is up. I've been spoiled, but I really like that I may be surprised tonight. I'm good with whoever she picks - she's the one who has to live with him! LOL

Why? Because what she says in ITMS and voice overs may or may not be what she actually feels; this show has script writers and tells a story with pre-determined characters designed to keep viewers guessing; it is only real to a point. And even when it is what she feels in the moment, you have to remember that at this point they have barely spent any time together, so it is all a surface impression, a hope, but not actual knowledge of the other person or a solid relationship. All the past couples note the same things: they will have spent less than 48 hours, total, together, by the time they get "engaged," they haven't talked about very many of the important things at all (they aren't allowed to, really), and the relationship really starts after filming ends.

In the moment she was very into Nick, and they seemed to be great for each other. I've really enjoyed watching them. But then I step back and remember that they don't know each other, and things can change at any moment. That goes for her relationship with Josh, too; they're operating on infatuation; they don't know each other.

It is all still a fun love story to watch, but getting too invested in it is futile.

On the whole discussion of Nick's confidence and needing reassurance: he does seem to have noticed every time Andi doubts him or challenges him or pulls away. So, if it looked to me like she pulled away a little on the overnight date, would he have upon reflection realized that? At some point she DOES have to pull emotionally from one of the guys and begin to "act." Is that something Nick might notice, were it to happen to him?

When you point out how little actual time they have spent with each other, and especially alone time, it's no wonder these relationships (if you can even call them that) last at all. It truly would have to be a "love at first sight" kind of thing. It's not til they hang around each other (out of the bubble) where they can find out if they can even stand each other.
