"Is their special connection enough to carry Nick to the altar?"

Above is a line from the episode description that seemed "odd" to me. Why comment about Nick and what he would or wouldn't do and not Andi, who is the lead? After watching the latest previews and hearing Nick make a comment about not getting engaged, it sort of makes sense...for now.

If you do not believe that Andi lets Nick go before the FRC, then you will get what I am trying to say. It all ties back to Marcus' comment about Nick "walking away" at F2. This comment and the finale previews are trying to make us think the F1 (not Josh because he didn't express any doubts) doesn't propose but walks away and breaks Andi's heart. This is my personal take on the previews.

Why do you think ABC chose to write " to the altar" instead of "to propose"?

"To the altar" comes after you propose.  Correct?

TeamNick: that TV grapevine preview is disheartening! Her body language is so different with him in these clips as compared to previous dates and you can tell that he senses it. Ugh. I don't even want to watch the finale, just the ATFR. Bummer ending for me this season. I don't know if Andi and Josh will work out.  They have portrayed him so one-dimensional all season that I don't get it.

Like I said, it's a rollercoaster but at least Nick looks happy and hot!  If he is F2 (which I lean mostly toward at this moment), then I think I will watch until he goes home and skip all the romance of the other pair since I don't see their love story like I saw Nick and Andi's.  I feel like I am reading one of those sad romance books, where a once-in-a-lifetime love happens and then ends.  I really don't plan to be anywhere else but here on the board either that day or beyond.

Cecilia, wish I could tell you to watch the finale, because it's gonna be epic and probably very different from what appears in the preview ... but I can't, because I'm going by my sensation and not based on any concrete evidence.

I don't know what it is with me this time, or is it because of Nick and his positive attitude during all this season, that gives me calmness ... and at the same time, with every doubt comes one more stone in our build-up ... I don't need to be told, I feel it that it's gonna be explosive ... that I don't even mind if I crush and burn ... I'm gonna believe in his "winning" till that hour when I see it.

It's hard to stay positive when you have both sides arguing that theirs is the true love story being shown and we see body language between Andi and Nick less than cozy.

One other point to make.  In the tvgrapevine video, Nick's speech about needing a sign from Andi is in the day or early portion of their date as evidenced by his blue shirt.  The second clip plays afterward and represents the evening portion of the date when Nick's in his red/blue shirt and gives Andi his gift.  Just wondering out loud if Andi somehow gives Nick the reassurance he needs BEFORE the evening... since Nick seems more relaxed in this portion of the video AND he moves forward to give Andi his very thoughtful and romantic gift???

Yes! Makes lots of sense Sue. Nick looks super relaxed, kicked back and most important, HAPPY on the couch with Andi. And his smile is really genuine .. no facial tension.

Great post Happy! I agree. The show is 2 hours long, the clips they provide are called snippets for a reason. there is NOTHING that has me convinced that the door is slammed shut on Nick and his chances of being F1. I don't mind if by small chance (small in my mind) I crash and burn and Nick is sent packing because he has made this show so fun to watch this season. I really only started watching this season because it was tradition for me and  a couple friends but really didn't plan on getting invested or caring. Of course then I got invested in Nian and all bets were off. I agree too, that Nick's happiness and positive outlook post season makes it much easier to root him to the F1 as no matter what because even in the worst case scenario that Andi can't pull the trigger and plays the boring comfort angle, Nick is doing great and enjoying life. He wins no matter what

I usually also go by the body language ... and that is indeed very important factor (never dismiss it) ... but this time around ... there is something more ...
MIND...
and we all know what kind of games Andi loves most.
I'm sure it was very difficult experience even for her, I don't blame her for coming to an end unsure which road to take (both amazing guys) and probably her MIND PLAYED GAMES WITH HER ... so the crying scene we see, I think is really her finally being vulnerable, because she was holding her guards up for so long, and while most think it was with Josh, because of her doubts about him, she was really guarded in her relationship with Nick. She never completely let herself fall, because with Nick it requires of her to be bare-naked. So ... I think we will see her being put in front of a decision, when she feels she's not ready to take ... and that's why the cry. But I trust ... all ends well.

Oh... can't wait to dance our a**s off ... all happy, OK?! Life is beautiful. Just look at Nick.

The thing that keeps me goping is that Nick looked genuinely happy at the 3 to 2 rose ceremony (Chris had already been eliminated). And Nick really sounded head ovr heels and very sincere in his feelings about the fantasy date experience - and looking to the future. I would imagine that he would be able to pick up on her feelings while with him all night without cameras --
