Above is a line from the episode description that seemed "odd" to me. Why comment about Nick and what he would or wouldn't do and not Andi, who is the lead? After watching the latest previews and hearing Nick make a comment about not getting engaged, it sort of makes sense...for now.

If you do not believe that Andi lets Nick go before the FRC, then you will get what I am trying to say. It all ties back to Marcus' comment about Nick "walking away" at F2. This comment and the finale previews are trying to make us think the F1 (not Josh because he didn't express any doubts) doesn't propose but walks away and breaks Andi's heart. This is my personal take on the previews.

Why do you think ABC chose to write " to the altar" instead of "to propose"?

"To the altar" comes after you propose.  Correct?

Bingo! Maybe they save the altar for ATFR ...

Nick actually says: Going into tonight if she is in love with me and if I'm the person she hopes to spend the rest of her life with I need her to find a way to just let me know. Because if I don't know it's me, we're not getting engaged.
As I mentioned upthread, I think this will be another first for our boy; first at requiring confirmation of being the F1 before a proposal.
I do question how this is going to play out and wonder if it's related to the explosion CH has been hinting at.

if she tell him he is the one on camera, yes. it will be a Bachette first, i think. IIRC Ash did say ILY to JP (and maybe he was her F1) on the FS in private. We knew it after the fact.

It's from the grapevine preview... of course, could be spliced... but that's what Nick says word for word.

And by the by... it ALSO ties in to NR's observations  :WAVEY: about Nick's conversation with Andi's dad, specifically that Nick is looking for blessings and permission when WE decide to get married, not when he decides to propose - BIG difference!!

Mura, this is Mimi. One of the Mimis who sleuthed with you and helped y'all (and yes, y'all is really an expression I use all the time) unspoil Des' season. I took a hiatus for awhile from the forum to concentrate on fam situation and am back and have been following the Nick Viall thread. Count me in on those who see a "true love" story within the bubble we have seen them in. I have no idea how they could resolve the plane video situation, but that girl/woman is besotted with him up through the fantasy dates. No doubts. Compare Emily's passion with Arie (If Arie had represented a stable future for Emily and Ricki, I believe she would have picked him. JMO). Think Emily's ITM when she referenced Jef turning down the FS before she could, and compare her besotted (my word for the month, obviously) look then with Andi's when she says, "Nick says 'he loves me'" (dazed look and grin).

It has occurred to me that his "I disagree" referenced on the plane video (which seems real) could be him saying what was in the letter (if it is from him). In fairy tale land Prince Nick could have misinterpreted something she said/did, thought there was no hope and Princess Andi could have chased him down after the plane video saying "I was so wrong". In Bach land, who knows? Team Nick, regardless. Other than the plane video issue, we've clearly seen Nick is as goofy as she wants, "cracks her up" (her words) and can switch it on and make her feel like a woman - not a young and vibrant girl. He's got a stable job, wants what she wants, apparently can read her mind. There is no problem with him or his family. Bella's good with her coming into the family. He has loads of close friends. Why on earth wouldn't she choose him? I haven't seen the TV Grapevine video yet, so curious to see what's got some of team Nick less sure he gets the final rose.

One other point to make. In the tvgrapevine video, Nick's speech about needing a sign from Andi is in the day or early portion of their date as evidenced by his blue shirt. The second clip plays afterward and represents the evening portion of the date when Nick's in his red/blue shirt and gives Andi his gift. Just wondering out loud if Andi somehow gives Nick the reassurance he needs BEFORE the evening... since Nick seems more relaxed in this portion of the video AND he moves forward to give Andi his very thoughtful and romantic gift???
