Problem with both Juan and Andi is that they were too cool and analytical... and hardly the touchy-feely types. Yeah, they got teary eyed... a little... I guess. Made me long for the days of Desiree sobbing at the drop of a hat.

People always say this, but, for me, the lead always makes a HUGE difference in how much I like the season. Even when some of the contestants are interesting, it doesn't matter if they are having boring conversations with a boring lead. I tried really hard to get into Jake, Ben, and JP's seasons and just couldn't do it. Even though I loved  contestants like Ali, Emily O' Brien, and Sharleen.

Had they included Jake's temper tantrum with the mike (hinted in the promos but not featured on the show), you might have enjoyed him more. It was our "tease" for his Vienna Meltdown Interview post-Dancing With The Stars.

The problem with Ben was that the women had to do most of the work. Courtney looked exhausted at the end of it. Kacie B. had to lay on the Swiss hotel floor after performing her "drama". Ben probably had the least amount on screentime during episode #1's Meet & Greet of any lead as I recall. Didn't he only do three or four PI sessions in the premiere? Fleiss called his season, in an interview, a "soft" one... and I will leave that up to others to analyze...

One thing I did like about Chris... and Arie to a lesser degree... is that the majority of lines spoken in PI sessions were not the "stock" ones we often hear with other contestants. I am not saying that they are all that different. Yet many of these "unprofessional actors" (i.e. none of them are, despite what we all think... in cynicism) are not always comfortable with the camera and often TOLD things to say by the handler/interviewer. Thus, we get a lot of talk about "connections", "I see a future", "this date is amazing", whether or not they are on Cloud 9, "I'm here for the right reasons" (and, yeah, Chris is a bit guilty of including this line also), etc. Arie had some amusing lines in his Dollywood date that didn't sound rehearsed, although later in Prague and on his fantasy date, he was a bit more "stock". The fact that he was willing to dress in drag in London was an indication he wasn't as stuck up as the others.

   Bee, your video is so beautiful . I love seeing Arie in action..Besides dripping charm and charisma, he's just got it . This is why I have always been so adamant about him being the lead Bachelor ..He is the one who can bring forth one of the sexiest most romantic, and memorable seasons of all. He sure has the dynamics to do it, no doubt about it !!
