Curious-- do the parents usually know whether their son/daughter wins or not? Don't remember the scenario in past seasons...Lauren seems like a fun mom and very supportive

I know SeanCat definitely told their parents, close friends, and some other family members. And then several figured it out once Sean snuck Cat to Dallas around Christmas so she could see where she'd eventually live/ meet the people he's closest too, and the fur babies.

I think most parents are told no matter where their son/daughter finish. I'd find it impossible to keep it from my parents I know that.

Oh wow that's quite a lot -- esp with the Brooks spoiler coming out.
If this is true consistently across seasons (I think during Aliberto's season things were kept VERYYYY under wraps) then Lauren's plan has a good chance of being a spoiler!

I think it definitely points to him being final 1 for sure. She is just an excited Mom so not really a spoiler that she can get in trouble for though. ;) imo

I think the family knew he was f1 at their htd. Josh being all over her, the things she was saying, "Josh is starting a new life too," it would be hard to believe that she didn't give other clues to them too. They just don't strike me as a family who would be so supportive if they felt like Josh wouldn't win.

I remember Kiptyn saying that very thing. He did not verbally tell his mom but his mom read his facial expressions/demeanor and knew.

I think you're probably right - Lauren knew that Josh was "in love" without him having to tell her...However, I do think for past seasons the ending has been kept from family and friends (Jill/Ali etc.. maybe that's old school style?)
the other question is would she host a viewing party if he doesn't win in the end? Doubtful....


Also a couple of things that have probably been discussed Re: Florida sleuthing/spoilers -- Andi was in Miami and Orlando June 27th weekend - has it been sleuthed if this is in her regular MO pre-Bachelor and if not who she was with? Tampa isn't far from either of these

Yes, they tell their parents and family members.  Some even tell close friends I am sure.  Des and chris mentioned that a couple hundred people knew and that was it. 

 They said a couple people, not a couple hundred people

I'm assuming family and very close friends

That's what I was wondering. I would have thought for sure his family would want to be in attendance at the ATFR. Maybe it isn't live this year, or that tweet is referring to a different episode

I remember way back in Trista's season, Ryan's mom being so sad that he HAD NOT told them and that they got to find out about his engagement when they saw it on national TV! Probably not the best way of proceeding either!
