I just rewatched the josh date and noticed several things:
1) he says that he wants andi to trust him but andi does not respond as if she is not convinced. Then you look at andi's blog re: Venice date with nick and how she was worried at first but after their talk she decided to TRUST him
2) they kept zooming on josh's hand on andi's leg and then I think back on ALL the moments with nick and how their hands are intertwined...this makes it more intimate like they both don't want to let go
3) at the end, they showed a clock which read 10pm while for nic all the times are past midnight
4) when Josh said he didn't like group dates, andi brushed it off and just said that he must be frustrated while for nick he was being salty and not spending time with andi. She seemed more upset with nic not liking group dates. 


These are just some of the things I noticed...I know editing is a big part but what they show us in comparison, you can see these differences...just my 2 cents...still on Team sweet n salty...best flavour combo ever!

I will be completely honest and say that never has anything bothered me about this show, the way Nick's edit has been upsetting me. I can't even explain it...the blatant editing and the way people are just eating it up and attacking him has just been hard to swallow...and I'm supposed to be the jaded one! I just feel so so so sorry for everyone affected by this, I really do.

i remember in separated interviews, Des and Sean said they know who their F1 by the feeling that they dont want to say goodbye to the person. like, ever. Aww!
yes. the edit serves a purpose. that is to tell the story ..the editors need to show us the comparison. The F1 and the lead are usually shown with the little sweet gestures of intimacy. There is a reason why they chose to zooming on the josh's hand, so we can 'compare' and see the 'it' between Nick and Andi with their intertwined hands.  
I would love a full gallery of ' The Interwined Hands ' if someone can put these crumbs all together  :eyesigh:    :
1.The clock-tower handscene (epi 3, 1-1 date)
2.The interwined hands scene (epi 4, GD alone time)
3. Nick hold her hands and interwined it on consoling scene after Eric's saga (epi 4, cocktail party)
4. Nick grabbed her hands and interwined it with his on the bridge. i thought it was Hawt!     (epi 6, 1-1 date)
5. Andi squeezed her fingers into Nick's on the dinner convo (epi 6, 1-1 date)
6. The intertwined hands on the cafe convo (epi 7, sneak over)

Thanks for sharing. When contestants sign up for the bachelor/bachelorette they have no idea what's in store for them regarding the edit and how it will affect their families and friends.  I'm sure Nick is strong and will help his mom get through this.  I just hope from this point forward his edit improves

and for those who says post filming evidences pointed to Josh, i couldnt disagree more. Put the foilers aside : RS and SMs  (sorry, i called it like i see it) all of her media round every single day chirped she wants a family oriented , confident yet vulnerable guy . this attribute entitled to the one and only Nick.. Throwing in JK show and E interview...wowza!! you should be a firm believer

The edit implied Nick's attributes all along on early episodes , before they ramped up the silly drama . Please do me a favor to pointing out the edit of Nick- Andi first convo at MnG. What is the first word coming out from Nick's mouth at their first convo? ... a goodie bag is waiting for those who can answer it correctly

Gawd! just while im writing this, i had a huuuge  revelation. His Edit is actually reflects an initial high (FIR rose: humble assuming man),then decline drastically to the lowest low (villain) to only rising up drastically again to high point (hero: see notarose's siggy) : aka the letter V!   
(im so proud of my self!   )

IMO Nick the F1. He has been and he will be on July 28 th (well, in fact he already is ). Period.

me too. Unfortunately it makes me sad also ... and I don't even know the guy ... but the sad part is not the edit or the response of the guys in the house (since it can be expected and understood given the situation) ... the sad part is the response of people who watch and tend to see only negativity, malice, deceit, c****ness ... when there ISN'T ANY. It's sad that when it comes down to support someone people have a need to be negative about the opponent when he hasn't done anything wrong to them. It's also sad, that people cannot distinguish one from the other (can someone help me with some proverb here ... how can you say this differently?). That's why that quote: "I don't think it means what you think it means." Because it's true that a word can have many meanings, but at least it has to coincide with what you want to portray and what is that you want to describe. I don't think that Nick's actions and words can be described with such a derogatory words as he's been called with. It's sad, that people look the reality show, but don't look at the reality of circumstances that a contestant is in. Just take example the hotel incident ... when Nick went to ask for a key to Andi's room (not really a key, he just needed a pass - a card - to get up with the elevator) ... it was all planned and done deal between the production and the hotel officials (don't need to be a genius to know that) ... the girl giving him a key was "payed" to do it and still people lashed on this woman's professionalism and hotel security. So does the edit bother me ... very much. Because it's very low of the producers to use people for their own game, to create drama, make ratings. Then again we can argue that everyone who signs up for it, should know better and it's an old news, so it should be expected and people cannot be surprised by it. But it doesn't mean I have to accept it as a norm and completely fair, good game. It became so normal, that now people who voice concern over it sound as ungrateful ones. But what should we be grateful for. What good does that kind of editing, that kind of display of negativity bring to the society? People often on these kind of shows put religion very much upfront as their most important rule to follow, how to behave, be good, treat people, but then not even in the blink of an eye, they do things that go against the teachings of any religion. Everyone has flaws, everyone has some dark part inside them, good and bad, we are made that way ... and the first step to love someone, accept them or simply forgive them, is to recognize that we might have the same flaws, the same darkness, which we have to fight against that it doesn't prevail.
