but that ITM was filmed long after the whole discussion with guys, when he already knew how things went down with the group ...
so he basically is playing the game of the producers for his edit.

especially would like to understand his grin.

This is such a good point, happy. I, personally, think this was filmed around the HTDS timeframe, but regardless, enough of a time gap to say it's more tongue in cheek than arrogance. :yes:

It doesn't matter if his comments were made tongue in cheek or with arrogance.

What does matter is why they are editing him with arrogance which has to be questioned. IMO that is what the editors have been going for a quite a while.

Exactly. Unlikely he is F1 with this edit.

My question is what is the purpose of editing the F2 so badly? Usually they want sympathy at the end (i.e. Ben) as they are usually an option for the Bachelor.

Have we ever seen this before, an F2 get this type of edit? Are they trying to make everyone want Andi to pick Josh at the end, just so she doesn't pick Nick? But why?

What I also find weird is his edit and then CH basically defending him in his interviews and blogs.

We have seen the F1 be the villian, but have we ever seen the F2?

It's a common theme to have good vs bad.
F2 "villians": Chantal(that hussy, the topless SI shoot, constantly throwing herself at Brad,the crying) Ben(his cream/dream video), Arie (tarred and feathered vs the good F, funny how the truth will out), Clare.

Well there was drama around him so I think they just decided to go with it full force. His confidence isn't edited. He had it.

I thought they were going to continue with Nick as the skeptic storyline, so it baffling to me the Nick's storyline/edit has turned out like this.. Even 2 episode ago Andi said that she has made a believer out of Nick or something like that....

I agree with the good vs. bad. But in the eyes of the viewer in terms of the edit (all their personal stuff as per RS aside) have we ever had a F2 who is perceived by the general audience as the "villian", ala Courtney, Vienna, Michelle Money, etc.

IMO all of those F2 (Ben, Chantal, Arie) were shown in much more positive and redeemable light, they garnered a lot of support (during the show) and sympathy after.

Agree. I also think each season they have different "material" to work with so can't always compare it to other seasons. I think it's still possible they turn nicks edit around in the next 2 episodes but to me it looks to me like he is not f1...but maybe I am just thinking that cuz I don't believe he could be f1 because of the plane video. Judging on the behavior of Josh and Nick after filming it just seems like Josh is F1.

He turned into a believer waaaaaay too quickly for that to be his storyline.

I remember before we knew who the F1 was and we heard from "inside scoop" that Nick needed constant reassurance from Andi which I can see through the edit:

- Constantly talking about getting the GDR to show where he stands
- Telling Andi on their first date he doesn't like not knowing where he stands
- Going to her room last epi, he said he thinks he knows what she is thinking but needs reassurance (I personally think he had a mini-breakdown last episode and how skittish he was acting)

Andi definitely reassured him through out the process (FIR, second one-on-one, GDR to give a third mini-on-one, constantly talking to him about making him a believer, loving him stealing her time from other guys) this reassurance made him overtly confident, and without seeing her time with the other guys why they heck wouldn't he be.

I don't see Nick as a villain, anymore than others mentioned as F2, so I can not comment.

Yeah I agree, this for me is one piece of insider information that is hard to dismiss.... When we had this information before the season began that she had to constantly reassure Nick throughout the filming to make him a believer an Andi out of her own mouth said she had to make Nick a believer.. I don't blame Nick at all I would have be overly confident also, it's too bad he didn't know how the TPTB work...
