It was speculated that they pulled him out of BiP when he started to trend as bachelor.

I want Marquel or Josh or Nick for bachelor. Not Chris S, he is rubbing me wrong and I don't like his attitude. I had a little of this feeling with him and Nick, but now, if this is him acting for the job, maybe it wins it, but I might have to skip. I hated Andi acting for the job too.

TPTB made sure to send Marquel home(from BIP) after they saw the response to him.
He leaves early and doesn't really have a relationship.... He just goes on a bunch of dates with like 3 different girls. No love story there at all.

OMG, the giver. It is a fantastic book, it is a children's books, but written so well. I can't wait to watch this movie. I recommend the book highly!
