Character Bio

Andi Dorfman, 26, a beautiful and successful woman, has it all at first glance — her loving family, her great friends, and even her dream job. But she realized there was something missing. So, last September, she put her busy life on hold to try and find love on “The Bachelor.” She thought she had found her match, but in the end it was not meant to be, and Andi walked away from Juan Pablo. She did not, however, let that experience stop her desire to find her perfect soul mate. Andi will embark on her own journey to find love when she stars in the tenth edition of “The Bachelorette,” which will premiere MONDAY, MAY 19 (9:00 – 11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.



While on “The Bachelor,” Andi revealed that she doesn’t want an ordinary love. She longs to find a great love like the one her parents share and her newlywed sister has found. She isn’t sure what has kept her from finding it, but she is sure she wants to keep on trying.



The whip-smart, stunning Bachelorette lives in Atlanta, where she works as an Assistant District Attorney for Fulton County, Georgia. Andi is one of very few women working as a gang prosecutor and she aims to keep her community safe by putting criminals behind bars. She hopes that one day her own children will live in a beautiful world full of warmth and opportunity. But first, she must fearlessly pursue her next goal - to find the wonderful love of her life.



Andi is the younger of two sisters and grew up learning how to hunt and fish, both activities she still enjoys -- almost as much as she loves to shop. Andi was a sorority girl at Louisiana State University until she graduated in 2009. After that, she earned her JD from Wake Forest’s Law School in 2012. She has been an Assistant District Attorney since passing the bar in her native Georgia and has been prosecuting criminals ever since.

•First off, we were a bit hesitant about Andi as "The Bachelorette," but she really won us over in the premiere episode. She's so bubbly, and she makes everyone feel so welcome. Andi actually strongly reminds us of our two favorite "Bachelorettes," Ali Fedotowsky and Jillian Harris.
•We can tell you that watching Eric Hill, the contestant who died in an accident after he was off the show, is going to be tough -- and we don't even know him. He is so sweet that his intro with Andi at the limo arrival was actually a little emotional, knowing what happens to him. Also, Chris Harrison does a nice intro dedicating the season to Hill at the top of the episode.

•JJ the "pantsapreneur" wears a bowtie and looks like a pimped-out, 30-years-younger Bill Nye the Science Guy.
•There's a party crasher. We won't tell you who it is, but if you're a regular reader of all things "Bachelor" here at Zap2it, you'll know we aren't his biggest fans. His encounter causes Chris Harrison to have to say things like, "I'll take care of it, that's what I do" and "If you really respect her, you'll respect her wishes." Also, do not mess with Chris Harrison (as if we had to even say that).

•There's a guy Andi keeps going on and on about how hot he is and we don't actually find him that hot, so that's interesting. But her d-bag radar pings about one guy that totally pinged our d-bag radar too, so at least there's that.
•As an Iowan, we're already very partial to the Iowa farmer who is super nice and very easy on the eyes. Team Chris!
