Does everyone remember what cholep said about Nick early on. That he was the most genuine on the show? I think we all have to remember that with the edit he is getting.

As if!  There's a camera crew with him, and the hotel clerk isn't supposed to know what's going on, that Andi Dorfman is the B'ette?  Laughable.  

This is something I do know, having a family member working at a venue that TB has used often ~ The hotel clerks, activities companies, etc, sign confidentiality agreements.  They are told in advance, and sign the agreements before any of the cast arrives.  

Agreements that say what exactly Bet2Win... educate me please! :-)

A member here who had spoilers. This is from an archived thread. The bolded is what I was referring to.

Apparently, there is a rumor going around, that Andi and Josh have met before(multiple times - right before the show began shooting in March)... and that TPTB not only knew about this, but they actually set them up in a nice hotel room somewhere in South Cali. He was a plant.

Also, Andi was apparently a great actress; she played her role perfectly - lot of crying, lot of angst, lot of love, etc.... Plenty of guys thought that she was phony and at least one of them called her out on it in his exit interview...



And now not a rumor, but something that I've heard from multiple sources...

Apparently, Nick had been BY FAR the most unassuming, tentative guy of the final 8 or so- He was super careful and was a bit skeptical about this whole process.(his family too). Andi has gone out of her way to reassure him(and his family) - and it seems that she took him to the F2(according to RS) just to dump him... This is quite cruel, IMO. Even crueler if the rumor above is not just a rumor. :frown: no no


I pray and hope that this is just a nasty rumor, because I'd actually like to root for Josh and Andi to make it.
However, RS swearing that they had NEVER met before the show and that they don't share ANY friends, makes it a bit suspect to me.... He was obviously told that by someone close to Josh or Andi(there is no other way of knowing that), who for some reason felt the need to point that out....

^ Right, there were voice overs and then we see him talking in his ITM, but isn't that Nicks voice the whole entire time? With the last VO, he said that and it sounded clear to me nothing was sliced and diced with that. Is it not arrogant to say that there's just him? No second, no third and that everyone else should just leave? There's absolutely editing, but to say that essentially every negative thing Nick says is because of editing is silly, in my opinion of course.

 
With digital editing you can take a VO and seamlessly make a sentence from phrases or words that were never stated as a sentence.  There is technology utilized now--especially with reality tv --that make VO's flow and are not choppy as one would believe when they see for example a parody. 
I know this for a fact. 
So hearing someone's voice seamlessly say something is not proof nowadays. We hear this on the news all the time.
I take this POV with all cast, all seasons, not this particular cast person.

^ The words genuine and unassuming are totally different. Do I think Nick was naive to the process? Yes, which would lend to what chloep said about him - he was unassuming and tentative. Unfortunately, when you add all of that together, it certainly allows for him to be manipulated by the process and all of those involved with it.

With his latest preview it's no wonder the guys were mad at Nick. He tried just about everything to get in Andi's head and get extra time with her. To a degree they are probably also mad at themselves that they didnt think of it first.  
TPTB are also doing everything they can to make him less likable: they have "ways of making you pay" if you mess with their party (i.e. have a phone conversation loud enough that someone can tape you)
