Nick is definitely convinced he's Andi's favorite, he already told his mother.  I wouldn't be surprised if those exact words were told to him by a producer already, and since we know that they mislead the anticipated runner up into being overconfident, this would possibly indicate that the producers knew she was favoring Josh at this point, but wanted to be sure Nick stayed "on the hook".

Just a further reminder: TPTB are not their friends. They have a goal to be met. There are always ulterior motives.  

Idk it's all Stockholm Syndrome-y, even years after the show is over. Ashley was messed with more than most leads thanks to Bentley but they wanted Chris to marry them and Élan seems to truly be a really close friend to both, especially JP. In fact it seems more rare that there's real conflict/dislike with tptb like JPG than the opposite. Andi is already tweeting love for Chris and his therapy sessions. And we saw how they were getting comforted like a bewildered herd of animals by production last episode instead of consoling each other. Due to the fake and weird nature of the bubble, their relationships are pretty interesting beyond "not friends" IMO.

I saw a little bit of Courtney's presence on the After show and was thinking the same thing. Stockholm Syndrome is definitely the best way to describe this very bizarre and disturbing phenomenon. Many former contestants including Molly and Jason are quite willing to admit to the manipulations of the producers but concomitantly will say that they love them (the producers) and that they became very close friends. Courtney said the same thing on the show. Talk about a topic for a compelling dissertation!

I agree she was hugely attracted to Nick but disagree there is nothing as deep or deeper with Josh! BL talks to me more and kisses in the neck or on the nose tell me more than passionate embraces.

Yeah, it's the nose kisses, the neck kisses, wiping away his tears and sweat for me that is so intimate I can kiss many people but when I start kissing the nose and neck it's a deeper feeling that I am feeling for that person but who knows Andi may not be like me.....

Maybe Ironcat but we have yet to see her on the FS dates and at the LCD.  Usually by the last LCD you can tell what direction the lead's heart is going.  At that point she is definitely "leading on," her final 2.  

Right.  LCDs come after the guys meet her family.  I agree that by that point she will most likely have made her final commitment to one guy in her head and heart, and we SHOULD see a slight pull back with the other, but you never know how it will be handled.  I think Ashley was encouraged/manipulated (liquored up?) to ramp it up more with Ben precisely because she had previously been so circumspect with him, and the producers wanted to be sure he'd think she was in love and would propose.  Andi won't have that problem with her F2, she's already given him plenty of "convincing physical evidence".   

Good point about Ashley.  I remember thinking whoa, and was a little taken back by Ashley and her interaction with Ben.  But.... she had a show to complete.  Andi has Nick convinced already (in fact 2 shows ago)    so it will be interesting to see.  ;)  Tptb also have to keep the viewers guessing so I am sure there will be some "acting," with Andi and her final 2.  

I don't see a direct comparison to Ben because he was hidden for the first half of the show. She barely noticed him until that painting a children's home date, whereas Nick she noticed night one. But having learned that Ashley did sleep with him in the FS (according to Courtney R.) I understand a little more why he was so angry. I didn't see any chemistry at all between Ben and Ashley. Even if Andi was encourage to "ramp it up" with Nick at the end, she was doing it the entire season. So again, not a real good comparison IMO of course.

^^ Agreed C. For me the connection between Andi and Nick is not comparable to Ashley and Ben. I felt like Ashley and Ben's chemistry was a little forced when watching it, they always seemed more like friends. Plus, there was no one that kissed Ashley like JP, no one. This season I think pure kissing wise, both Josh and Nick have had some good real passionate kisses.

But I do feel like Andi and Nick have a lot of chemistry not just mental/emotional but physical as well, WAY more than Ashley and Ben had. I was actually very surprised by this I thought the Andi and Nick story was going to be purely mental/emotional.

To me if JP hadn't of been there, Ashley and Ben would not have been a couple long, if she would have even picked him. In this case if Josh hadn't of been there, Nick was Andi's choice hands down and I think Nick and Andi might have had a shot.

I don't think that the Ashley/Ben relationship is comparable to Andi/Nick either; I said that Andi is far more demonstrative and into Nick than Ashley was into Ben. I was contrasting the two relationships in my earlier post. I also don't believe that Courtney KNOWS that Ashley and Ben had sex, she is repeating unsubstantiated gossip and I choose not to believe it without further confirmation from someone who was actually there.   

I do think that Andi's attraction to Nick came about because of an immediate mental/emotional bond/connection; he isn't her physical type, but as happens when you get to know and like someone, they get much better looking to you, and I think that's where Andi is with Nick. Contrast with Marcus, where the attraction came about because she immediately thought he was "hot", even though as time went on, I suspect she realized more and more that they weren't really a good match. Kind of the opposite of what happened with Nick.
