I cannot stand the cuteness of that little peanut!! "Would you take me as a sister"….oh Andi, I hope you didn't lead the little cutie on!

Yes, she asked "would you take me as a sister?"

I give a lot of leeway with this show, but that would be right up there with Meredith telling her F2 guy Matt that she would be honored to accept a ring from him, or Byron's toast with Tanya's family to many Christmas's there, or something like that.

Yes, I heard that too "would you take me as a sister".
I will give Andi the benefit of doubt because we don't know the context of the entire conversation.
However, part of me wonders if she already knew who she would pick at that point, why did she say that to a innocent young girl? I know the lead has to lead someone on, but don't it to a 10 year old.
Unless, at that point, Andi had not made up her mind.

I haven't seen this yet, did Andi say anything? Hope she is as PC as possible!

Well Jasons son was 2 at the time so his powers of conversation would be much more limited to just playing and laughing so no.
But the leads will just play the game with all the contestants and DeAnna was definitely an example IMO.

I think sometimes people forget that the lead is doing a job. Yes, they're trying to fall in love, but they're there to do a job too. That's the reason why most of them get paid at least $50,000. This is a job which includes acting and so forth. I do think for all leads there are certainly feelings involved especially with their F4, but the leads are being told to say certain things and do certain things. It's the way this silly show goes and that's the reason why the real relationship starts once filming has ended and perhaps even after the airing of the episodes has ended.

This is true. Which is why it's important to pay attention to body language.

I really doubt that a 9 year old was traumatized because some woman she met for a few hours asked her that question.  Even if Andi flat out told her "I'm marrying your brother", it would mean nothing to her (nothing real anyway), and she probably forgot about it by the next day, IMO.  Just like Ty Mesnick was not traumatized in the least by the fact that his father did the show twice and proposed to 3 different women within a year.  From my experience, kids are incredibly resilient and don't get all bent out of shape by things people say who they barely know.

I also think that if Nick's parents were concerned that their little girl was so sensitive or would be so affected by something that Andi might say or promise, they probably would not have given the producers permission to orchestrate that scene where she "grills" the Bachelorette in the first place.
