I agree with most of this post but disagree about the comparison to Travis. Sarah and Travis had zero chemistry. She was strictly a friend from the get-go. He chose the friend who lived near by and was a fan/hometown favorite. Period. Josh and Andi have HOT chemistry that oozes off the screen. I agree she might have chosen with what she feels comfortable with, but at least they have "insane" chemistry in her words.

Yes, I am referring to what is familiar and safe--no chemistry is brought into the equation. Chemistry simply sweetens the pot.

Well, I read it again and what Chris had to say about Nick focused more on what he thought other guys were feeling and why. It seemed to focus on Nick getting more time with Andi and Chris did repeatedly mention that it had to do with this unnatural situation.

Yes, he did give Andrew a pass. Guess the edit only showed "drama Andrew" so it's nice to hear he had good qualities. Too bad he had to leave the show with only bad scenes.

I could see Chris bring a great bachelor. In the interview he hinted that he will have more scenes. Who knows, maybe he's the F1. It's a wonky season.

He is sort of in a backhanded way putting the blame on Nick for Tasos going home that night. Tasos needed to make an impression on Andi according to Chris, well Tasos did have 1 on 1 time that night with Andi because they showed it. Chris mentions the loosing basketball team (with Tasos) as not having time with Andi, but doesn't mentioned that Andi went back to their suite that night to spend time with the loosing team. We don't really know what Nick said that night because that whole portion was edited in many pieces, it didn't even make sense, but again Chris is going with the storyline TPTB are presenting on screen.

To the bolded: I forgot about that! Yes, Tasos and Josh for sure had 1-1 time before Nick went to comfort her. Maybe others as well
That was a weird edit. I could see the guys being peeved with themselves for not having thought to get up and go comfort Andi. Thinking but not doing never pays off.

Regardless, it's not supposed to be a game where they all draw straws to see who gets to comfort Andi. There is no fair way in this situation.

You are right. That's so weird of Chris to say the opposite.

Nick together. She is my absolute favorite and nick has grown on me during the season. When all we had were bio's I thought he was average at best. But now with his style, snark, confidence and humor he has totally won me over.

Just went over to the unspoiled section and everyone has Josh as F1. My unspoiled sister text me Monday night and here are her thoughts:
I and smitten with Josh but he screams player. Don't like Nick on tonight's episode but still like Marcus. I then asked who she thought would win and she said she hoped Marcus but knew it would probably be Josh.

Have we ever had such an obvious F1 other than Emily on brad season? I would think that Josh's main competition(Nick) would get a better edit to throw us off. Not that Josh has the most flattering edit either, but......

I may be in the minority here but so far I like Nick's edit.

One of the major thorns I've picked at over seasons is that real people are portrayed as characters rather than authentic beings. To me, authenticity requires the edit to show strengths and flaws.
We've seen Nick's flaws to be "salty", slightly aloof (or slightly arrogant), blunt despite him knowing a "ruckus" will following.
His neutral characteristics - which could be + or - depending on the situation - are assertiveness, questioning or scepticism, highly analytical.
Key strengths: communication skills, self-deprecating, highly intelligent, calm under pressure, focused, admits mistakes and owns them, open to discussing concerns brought to his attention rather than becoming defensive.

There are good fits for everyone. For a long term relationship to work, a couple needs to work through the most challenging aspects of their partner. The show often presents some knight in shining armor but he's probably really stinky under all that metal. I'd rather have a Braveheart where all the mud on his thighs is exposed. Bring it on Salty Nick. cheerleader

Yes, Josh is so obvious as the F1 that I am compelled to believe he will not be the last man standing. The spoiled F2 (Nick) edit has made the majority of the unspoiled public to not like him and quite frankly most wanted Andi to send him home after the last episode. As I have stated earlier in this thread, there are going to be a lot of shocked people once this season is over.

I love this ^^ It's always an eye-opener for me from reading the pre-season articles and seeing pictures/bios to really seeing the contestants in action. I also was totally won over by Nick this season, and Sharleen last season.

And notarose, I love your analogy of Braveheart with all the mud showing on his thighs vs the stinky underneath the shining armour knight.
