Ill be honest and say I did not like Nicks pouting on the GD. Your there, you can't leave, you signed up for this ridiculous show, I have seen that you usually do have a good sense of humor, so enjoy the scenery and silliness! With that said, I do get the sense that Nick has genuine feeling developing for her and doesn't know how to deal with that. I think he wants to let go but the sceptic in him is holding him back. I also think that the drama from the cocktail party, along with the fact the Cody, and Andrew were on this date made him feel a little uneasy. I'm sure at this point he had picked up in the producer manipulation and that also excellerated his insecurities.

And Cody, I am goin to say this 300 lb meathead who pushed a car up the driveway is not as sensitive and offended by arrogance as he claims to be. I would say he also has some insecurities going on as well. It's guys living together,that's what they do, poke fun of each other. Stop whining and being jealous. I also find it interesting that no one went to Andi about Andrew getting a girls number but they were quick to tattle on Nick for something stupid!

I do agree with Cody, Nick is a great guy... But he cannot handle this situation. I think if he didn't have real feeling developing for her that he would probably ask to go home at this point.

I remember how horrible the machine was to Drew. Millsy tweeted things too often that should have gotten him fired. His tweets continue to far out weigh the stupid drama the show tries to shove down our throats on a weekly basis.  
Who knows what horrible thing Drew did to deserve what he got. He tweeted something awful about Dylan during the week of Dylan's 1:1 or SQT (forgot which it was it was so memorable).
So Nick is not the first, nor will he be the last to spark the ire of this ridiculous show.

I would say each of these guys is in good company. Millsy's tweets are like some old guy who thinks he's funny and relevant. He is neither. Just kind of disgusting and out of the loop.

Whoa so I just watched a deleted scene called an end to the bromance on abc website and one of the guys brought up his close Nick and Josh are(were) friends and he also has a pi talking about how he's is friend which makes this all more awkward.

Wasn't it sleuthed or maybe RS (blah) spoiled that Nick gets the GD rose in Belgium? If so, looks like the GD issue has been put to bed. That reminds me, in his ABC his greatest date fear was related to dating a girl then seeing her with another boyfriend. He said it wasn't really a fear but something that would really suck. Guess it really sucked epi 5 but he got over his pout.

All my males friends rib each other and me all the time - its all in good fun. I don't think Nick meant to be hurtful but when Cody said it hurt him he quickly apologised. Have you ever meant to be funny and it comes out wrong? I sure have.

This. The scene actually ended up being so awkward and made the whole thing even more ridiculous. Cody starts getting all heated and Nick remains fairly calm and when Nick says, "Cody didn't you and I rag on each other a bunch of times and say things to each other", Cody pretty much says yes. At which point Nick says okay but then admits that he didn't realize Cody was so bothered by what he said and he apologized. At which point Cody's ire deflates and the whole thing seems even more ridiculous but suddenly all this drama is basically over nothing.

eta: Just saw JP's tweet - I knew there was a reason he's always been one of my favorites. JP and I are on the same page here. I said it last night but I really feel like the Nick drama had some bit of producer manipulation behind it. Like maybe there wasn't enough drama and so they started whispering in the other guys' ears.

I have also never been a fan of the "gang-up" on this show towards one contestant. I always often find myself siding with the one being ganged up on because I hate group-think mentality. On top of that, in BOTH instances, the editing showed the guys attacking Nick first. Last week was all Cody and Tasos once they realized they weren't getting any 1 on 1 time with Andi before the rose ceremony and last night, Cody and company were not the least bit subtle when they started the conversation, with the clear intent of leading to basically telling Nick they think he's arrogant because "how dare he - he thinks he's the frontrunner." I'm sorry, I just found the whole thing incredibly juvenile and contrived.

As for group mime stuff, while yes Nick should have just gone with the whole cheesy thing and have fun with it, I think Nick just ultimately thought the whole thing was stupid and didn't think it had anything to do with falling in love with Andi which these ridiculous things rarely do. Going by Nick's own words from the earliest episodes, he already had some skepticism about the whole show process and the ability to really find love in a situation like this. And I think with the whole miming thing he just kind of felt like "this is stupid - "how the hell is hanging around outside, looking ridiculous with a bunch of guys, not saying a word to the woman we're here for, going to help us fall in love with and build a relationship with her?" Yes, I admit it wasn't the most pleasant and fun attitude to have but I might have felt the same which to be fair is why I would never go on a show like this.

Excellent post! My thoughts exactly ... I watched last night with my unspoiled daughter and she thought Cody was being such a meathead and was the one attacking Nick. If you actually listened to words, Cody can apparently dish it out but not take it. I just can't take Cody seriously whatsoever ... just not my cup of tea.

Andi's strong reaction to Nick shows that she has higher expectations for him. Yet, she is the one that put the target on Nick by giving him the FIR, a one on one date AND a group rose date ... when at that point the attacking guys (Cody, Patrick and Andrew) had yet to receive even one of those. I would NOT count Chris in there as he was being very diplomatic with Andi, she was pressuring him while he was trying to minimize the situation.

While prior "bad boys/girls" such as Courtney, Tierra, Kalon, Vienna, etc., all did something that warranted group backlash, I have yet to see Nick do or say anything other than be the Object of Andi's affection.

And, I don't blame Nick or any guy for not wanting to participate in the mime date! I was frankly embarrassed to watch. It was sooooo dumb and they looked just foolish. People of Marseilles were clearly not cheering them on. I can't imagine any guy from age 12 and up wanting to participate.

I know this is first time that I've seen it ... probably not the first time that it happened ... that Chris Harrison essentially went into the guy's place and essentially told the guys to focus more on Andi than each other. IMO proves just how well guys must have got along and also IMO why TPTB used Nick to stoke the flames.

NIck was an easy target for production because he most definitely was the frontrunner at that stage of production. Andi said clearly in both her blogs and onscreen that she felt the most comfortable with Nick, they connected on physical and mental level and that he saw her the clearest. Surely the other guys saw this too. She also said in ep 5 during Josh's date that Josh had made her nervous and that she was holding back with him. Sure, Josh appears to be surging ahead starting with episodes 5 and onto being spoiled F1. But episodes 1-4 have been very much about Nick & Andi.

So, yeah, why wouldn't the guys think that Nick with his FIR, one on one date rose and group date rose, was the one to beat ... esp when Chris Harrison goes in there and prods them like cattle reminding them to do so.

Wowzer. They are certainly lambasting poor Nick with his edit. And then waking up and reading Andi's blog, she seems to be blasting him too. I honestly think a lot of this comes from TPTB anger with Nick's video. I'm not looking forward to the continued Nick drama they're promising and feel like they're trying to create something more than what there is.

ETA: I can't imagine Nick being F1 after last night and the promise of continued drama...  

If bad girls Vienna and Courtney can make it past all the drama and bad edit that they got to secure F1, so too can Nick.

And, even more so, if Chris S can make it past all of Des' tears about Brooks leaving and not being even sure if she could continue production, there's hope for sure!

Keep in mind, when the lead picks the F1 ... and it's a love match ... that F1 is of no use to TPTB so no reason to show them in a positive light that builds fan support. But, every reason for TPTB to use the connection between F1 and lead with everyone else in house to create drama.

I am not suggesting Nick is F1 ... I've read all the spoilers and saw the great chemistry between Josh & Andi ... but I wouldn't suggest that a bad edit or manufactured drama about Nick prevents him from retaining his front runner spot to the bitter end.

I really think it's gonna be a horse race ...
