tptb seemingly prefer it all out in the open and no suspense at the end.

It's not TPTB who've put it all out there. It's Nick and also all the sleuther's who scour social media looking for every spoiler crumb. If you don't want to be spoiled you can't go looking for spoilers and then get upset when you find them and it's not the outcome you wanted.

I like being spoiled or even the surprise at being foiled.
But I am curious if things have been modified regarding the confidentiality clause. We do have Aaron indicate there is still a 5 million $ fine for breaching, but we don't know if the definition of breaching has been altered according to the contract.
I would love to see something concrete on this--but that is probably wishful thinking.

It's not too much to ask those involved to abide by their contract and not spoil it for those who aren't actively looking for spoilers. Obviously those of us in the spoiler side know we're going to read spoilers but we also like to sleuth. It takes away the fun if the lead &/or the potential f1 & family are basically thumbing their noses at the fans. I'd feel the same way no matter who the f1 is. I'm also annoyed by Nick talking about the show in public.

I'm annoyed by any and all who have (if they have) breached the contract and not because of spoiling or sleuthing.
It's a matter of ethics and integrity.
By this, I include any of the cast or crew who might have whispered in anyone's ears regarding certain things directly involved in the show. If there is a contract involved...not nice.
So I guess what I am consumed with--has the contract been modified? Again wishful thinking in finding out the answer.

Well, Lauren Murray responded to someone on her Facebook today and she said this:

Lauren Goodhart Murray: Maura McGuinness Grady We know the ending and have each signed a 5Mill contract to not spill the beans so Josh is not isolated.

Also, ever since I posted that list of some social media things that I had found (which I thought were pretty legit) in Josh's thread and a certain someone responded to me about them, well basically all social media clues have stopped from the Murray clan. Aaron no longer live tweets and doesn't really favorite anything about the show. Stephanie Murray barely does anymore. I also mentioned about Chad Gloer and he no longer live tweets either and he barely says anything about it. Also, surprisingly, Lauren Murray has been quiet too besides this one post, but that give nothing away. I would assume the contract includes social media and maybe they just didn't know about it and someone was lurking here possibly.

I just figured I would throw that out there. Things have certainly been more quiet on their front. Andi, Josh and Nick on the other hand? Nope. laugh out loud

I think the confidentiality clause is pretty much brought to the forefront at many key times to those involved.
I know in the past, certain cast have been reminded of such after the fact.
Basically as far as some of the "leaks" for lack of better word--it's a case of closing the barn door after the cow has escaped.
My personal take on the reduction via sm... there are definitely members here involved with the show and they have probably read the various opinions regarding this and it's given them pause.
