FWIW, I know two homeschooled teen girls ... one for tennis/one for dance ... and IMO it can create a highly stressful situation with the child/parents putting excess attention on being the best/winning/competing and less attention on a "normal" childhood where they go to school with range of social/extra curricular opportunities. Andi probably had to give up quite a few social events for her sport, so she may be accustomed to sacrificing for a higher goal. I actually admired that she didn't miss a beat in saying she went back to high school full time when it was obvious she wasn't good enough to make the pros. Very honest about her own limitations.

I see Andi as a Type A person ... competitive and hard on herself, hard on others. She is striving to be the best little Bachelorette, fall in love and get engaged so as not to disappoint like last season. She seems to have same high expectations for guys (i.e. getting angry at Nick for not being gung ho to mime!!) as she does herself.

Bottom line: Andi IS the Bachelorette so technically the show does revolve around her. That said, type A people can rub folks the wrong way with their intensity and every year folks end up liking a couple contestants more than Bachelorette. So that's my .02 cents.
