I find it strange, only because my best friend lived a nightmare with her MIL, which eventually broke up the marriage. 20 yrs later, her ex still lives with his Mommy.

Josh could be wearing them for his grandfather if he indeed is a cancer survivor but he appears to be the only one, and he was wearing them Memorial Day weekend as well.  Aren't both of his parents cancer survivors?

His Dad had thyroid cancer which is represented by a purple ribbon   
His Mom had a brain tumor which is represented by a grey ribbon.  That wouldn't explain the yellow one   
Where is the picture posted of Josh on Memorial Day wearing the ribbons 

Yes they are cancer suvivors, but he has never worn this until after the FRC.
