Litta, is your real name Sharleen?? I tease because she posted the same exact theory in her recap- they're adding in a bunch of random stuff to Josh's storyline in terms of PIs that he needs to overcome.

Seriously, I've been working on this post since late afternoon with a break for dinner with my husband. I had no idea that Sharleen was thinking along the same lines. Interesting! These "extras" really only makes sense to me if Josh is F1. Have TPTB ever gone to such lengths to fill in the storyline of anyone that is F2? or F3? or F4? I can't think of any? I would love to hear of it if it exists.

Yes. Just last Bach season with Clare. You guys sleuthed a whole bunch of timetravel stuff, she got the most "placement" PIs than anyone that season. In fact if I remember that was one of the arguments that Clare was f1.

I'm sure there are other examples but last season is fresh in my mind and I participated a lot more in this analysis because I was non-spoiled so I remember the pro/cons discussions clearly   .

Ha! Yes, I know EXACTLY what you're saying, nd, as I was one of the ones that was claiming they were time travel PIs. I was thinking that as I was typing the question, BUT, I was regularly being told that they weren't, in fact, time travel. The ones I insisted were post filming were ones that were apparently made in Miami...and by all the girls...not just the F1...or so I was told.   

These seem different in that they are being made mostly by Andi...filling in her story. Josh is only appearing in one at the end. Btw, this is a unique PI just to him. This would be a good cap to sleuth.

Anyway, I'm just throwing this out as a theory and am open to being shown I'm wrong. Truthfully, I would love to see mura and #teamNick be right. I really like him, too. The thing that's different to me is that those PIs were from all the F4's, not just Juan...and not just about one of the final girls. Hopefully, I'm making some sense in why I see it a little differently. It's late and I just finished a glass of wine!

Yep. Emily and Jef were the first to come to mind as I read Litta's post. I just took a quick spin through her PI's while wearing the Josh HTD shirt. In order she talks about...

1. Nick and Marcus declaring their love
2. Not sure how Josh's date will go
3. Wants Josh to catch up
4. Talks about Josh's personality
5. Wants to be the girl Josh has deeper feelings for
6. Afraid Josh will break her heart
7. Wishes he would be more open

Definitely seems like filler to further the storyline.

Sorry if I am intruding into here and not understanding all of the posts and debates well enough to comment correctly. Been trying to stay mostly in the Edit and Iowa threads, but somebody left my cage door open... again. A new lock may be needed!

Gee, Litta. Are you stuck on only two guys? What's the matter? Didn't all four give you plenty of possible post-show PI sessions with those pointy vase "thangs" and equally ugly mansion drapes?

Granted, I've already been "called out" by who-know-who because I dared questioning him... AND chose The Pig Farmer as my frontrunner. Max64 even prepared my screencap of the Venice hog's head to award me "if or when" I am wrong at the finale. Certainly would hate to see you have that Target On Your Back for daring to be rebellious. Yet can't you throw a few crumbs Marcus' way too? His fans are skeptical of the spoilers as well.

Slightly off topic... regarding post-show PI sessions...

What a few of us gathered with Clare last season is that she had no regrets for what she told Juan at FRC. Her comments that were "time traveling" were explaining why she will always be "me" regardless of what anybody else (Juan Pablo, not other contestants) thinks. Like some PI sessions THIS season, she was reading off of something written down to make sure she got the correct words in.

What is especially oddball this season are all of these look-alike mansion backdrops for ALL four guys... Chris in 8 outfits, Marcus and Nick in 2 each and Josh in 1. As for other Josh PI sessions not fitting... or Andi sharing them... you got me on that one since I am not sure what you are referring to. Yet is it possible that all four guys know the outcome? Maybe one already signed to do the Bachelor?

The one curious PI is the one in which Nick says he will be with Andi at the end. Maybe they shot some of these during hometown week and others post-show? The whole setup is still weird to me.

Interesting comments from Guy Smiley regarding who will be the next Bachelor. He was only asked about Chris, Nick, Marcus and Marquel. Harrison on E!: "As soon as we name it, we want everyone to be excited, but I don't know if someone will come off the show…because that's something else we've been kind of thinking about, maybe throwing a curve ball, changing things up. It'd be nice"

Note key word "curve ball"... *chuckle chuckle*

I'm not really sure which thread this should go in. It has some PI stuff, editing stuff and just plain old screen caps. I'm sticking it here. I noticed some interesting PIs that didn't match the location, or in some cases, clothes of Andi/Josh in the evening portion of their Belgium date. Stay with me as this is kind of long. Also, I'm not half as good of a transcriber as JBF. Mostly, I just describe the dialog, but when I quote it, no doubt I made mistakes...

The evening portion starts with Andi and Josh walking into the castle in these clothes.



We then get a VO/PI of Andi in a different outfit and a different location than her other Brussels's PI. Perhaps this is the mansion...post HTDs or post filming. Basically Andi is saying how Josh hasn't told her how he's feeling. Says both Marcus and Nick have. If Josh doesn't open up tonight, it will be tough seeing herself going to his HT.



Then the scene switches back to the castle where they talk about GDs versus this date. Josh assures her what they have is not too good to be true.

Next we see another Andi PI in the typical Brussels location that Andi has been in -- same lamp as in her hotel room from earlier when she checks in. She is in the outfit from the afternoon's Goose Parade. She basically says that she would love for Josh to say he's falling in love. Wonders if he just does not feel it.



Then we switch back to the castle scene where Josh tells Andi he's falling in love with her. FYI, she feels "comforted" by him saying that. I found that to be an interesting way of describing her feelings, basically implying that it was important for her to know that and it gave her assurance. For those who watched JPG's season, you might recall assurance was a big deal to Andi.

Then we have Andi in this PI -- back to the date outfit, but new location...looks to be post filming. She says, "He finally says that he is falling in love. I wanted so badly for Josh to say those words just to like, feel like, this is real." (My thoughts -- that sentiment seemed to be really huge for her.)



Then it switches back to the castle where after finishing their makeout, Andi tells Josh she has one more thing for him. Then he kisses her against the wall. I'm throwing this in for the Jodi fans.



This PI of Andi is next (similar to the one above) where Andi describes the band.



It's followed by a scene of them dancing. Next comes this PI of Josh who is in a location we've never seen before. Could it be from the DR? I suspect yes. He says, "I've been waiting to tell her that I've been falling in love with her. It's been on my mind, and I've been wanting to let her know. But at the same time, it's tough being vulnerable not really knowing exactly what I would get in return.



So, what do I make of all of this? I've been sitting on the fence between Nick and Josh, but more and more I think Josh is F1. These PIs continue to set up the obstacle that Josh must overcome. Can Andi trust his feelings for her? Next week's HTD seems to put the dilemma of Josh's family taking a higher place in his life than a possible relationship with Andi. What is Nick's dilemma? He is no longer a skeptic. It's resolved. His only real conflict seems to be with the guys not Andi.

Why would TPTB put all this extra Josh storyline in post season if Josh is not F1? I'm not seeing this extra stuff with Nick or have I missed it?

Can anyone give me a good counter argument to what I've posted?

P.S. We also had some weird PI stuff with Andi during the afternoon portion of their date. Andi was dressed like this during the Goose Parade.



But some of her PIs during that time appear like this -- different outfit from that afternoon and probable location being the mansion. I have no idea what she was saying in this PI because I didn't go back to listen. As Andi would say, "I'm exhausted!"

I'm sooo sorry my friend, but I cannot see "it" with either so I won't/can't do it. I guessed I've stopped trying "to be fair" when it comes to those two. But I will come to the pig roast if I'm invited at the end of the season.
