I'm a little surprised. Not because I don't think they have problems, but surprised they'd want to air that on TV. The little bit I've seen of the show it can get pretty deep and personal. I forsee alot of tears from them. I think this will be a make or break for their relationship. The backlash has already started on soc media. :/

I've never watched any of the counselling type shows so have no idea how this one rates on the "tacky" continuum.  As to counselling in general, I think every couple should have premarital counselling. It's just a valuable thing.  Personally I disagree with publicized counselling hence why I have never watched.

RS is the source being quoted by internet stories so will have to see how good his info is.  It does fit with socmed silence so I think it is possibly true.

I agree with bolded part. Couple counselling is not necessary for couple who are in trouble. Actually, it will help them enrich their life as couple. The thing I'm surprised is why didn't they agree to participate in the marriage boot camp since they interviwed them. Isn't that the same thing?

I've watched couples therapy and think a lot of people go on there for the  money. I thought juan wanted to stay true to himself.  I don't get it. Maybe when his contract is up this will give them a voice on how things went down on the bachelor.  I'm shocked!  And think this will break them.

I will say that I really, really hope Nikki doesn't feel pressured to do the show for Juan Pablo. She has a nice stable job, I just don't get it.

Well, I gotta agree with RS on this one. I think they are doing it for the money. U got to figure that JPs job doesn't pay to much. He has a daughter to raise and being involved in a long distance relationship can not be cheap. This is a way to make a lot of money in a short period of time. I think they are doing it out of need for the money, not the need for counseling. Hope it works out for them and turns some of the those who are not fans around.
That being said, I am a nurse. I used to work in a hospital and it was hard to just get a weekend off. I don't see how Nikki's hospital is giving her all this time off. It is an unusually situation, but the nurses she works with can't be to happy with having to cover all of Nikki's shifts. Specially if the nurses she works with are trying to get some vacation time themselves. The hospital may be bringing in agency nurses to cover her shifts, but that is an expensive route to go. Head scratcher, for sure.

I know as fans we want to believe that they will work out but money unfortunately changes people. As pissed as Juan Pablo was with The bachelor they will be tough on couples therapy I mean he's putting himself out there again for some more backlash. ..  :atomic:

Agree with everyone here. And this show (from the little I watched) is pretty vulgar and intense. Can't imagine it being good for them or their image. Also confused about why they are doing it but the money seems the most logical explanation. Not good!!

According to RS, he said JP was broke. IDK How he could know that, unless it is just speculation. If he really is broke, then him doing the show for some quick money makes sense. What doesn't make sense is how he always says, "just be true to yourself". Going on this show mocks what he holds dear-staying true to hisself. But he does have a child to think about, and parents will do what they have to do in order to support their kids. Maybe he figures the hell with it, I'll use my 15 minutes and get the most out of it...save himself a little nest egg up. Face it, down the road not to many people are gonna really care about what's going on in JP's life.
My concern is Nikki, why on earth is SHE doing this???

A big if this is true, then it is for the money.  Think about.  TPTB will not pay them to marry on TV so they have to make money somewhere to pay for it themselves.  Why not use their notoriety like everyone else.  I am just worried that exposing issues so openly maybe more harmful.

I'm thinking besides the money, maybe Nikki is the one who wants to do this and JPG just wants to please her? If I can make big money out of it, I would do it too. Why not? Both have been exposed to the public already. IMO, no matter what they do, they will be criticized anyway. If you look at it, they had particiapated in two charity events and I don't see the tabloids saying good thing about them. They still can't win.

Lots of assumptions going on. Maybe we need to see what they have to say about. This couple has as much chance of making as the others did and if they don't so be it.

Counselling services are usually, if not always, available in Children's Hospitals as patients and often family members may require this service and sometimes even staff as they are dealing with some child fatalities.  If that is true of Nikki's workplace as well then she is likely more aware than JPG of what to expect.  The key to effective counselling is "voluntary".  There is no purpose in it otherwise ... even telecasted.  

Because this will be televised, of course the money factor is relevant otherwise they would have sought private council. Does that mean they aren't really there to better their lives, well the odds are pretty much equivalent to how many people are really on the Bachlor/Bachelorette to marry the lead.

As to why not Marriage Bootcamp, I think that is only for couples that are married.  My guess is people get paid to go on there too like Trista & Ryan.  Maybe this is the same or maybe different.  Each couple is certainly going into counselling on a tv show but with a significantly different public image.

It will either be good or bad in the end.
