Maybe she felt shocked she was in the bottom two. Interesting the interview with Zoe's below and I also heard an interview with Laurina where they both comment on Lisa being the person as having one of the strongest connections. Laurina says we didn't see it as off-camera) and Zoe says her opinion changed watching it on tv.

ohh totally agree with you on this! i think unfortunately Lisa is showing her cards too late in the game and unfortunately for her i don't know how much nurturing blake is giving their relationship. he seemed frustrated by her admitting she dislikes being vulnerable as opposed to being anxious and wanting to invest more which happened with him and Zoe (much much earlier on before any girl) then later Sam who I think also brought the unique element of him being anxious of being emotionally invested while she had the power to hurt him...  (he has an intensely focused and nervous face any time he asks her about how she feels)
In either case i think it's unfortunate for Lisa because especially in the very beginning she was very closed off and acting like she didn't care -- now she seems to be keeping up the act when either her attachment or the Stockholm syndrome are catching up to her...and her depth of emotions are surprising to her. I do however, wonder how her emotions might be heightened due to the situation since her body language and level of romantic attachment was so minimal at the very beginning... on the opposite spectrum of this is louise who truly did play this cool but then openly and gradually (by communicating with blake and being vulnerable/affectionate with him) seems to be progressing well tho a latecomer.

More than anything what we're really learning about blake is how much communication means to him -- what zoe said is also very insightful in terms of how in touch blake is with his feelings and how well he articulates them (high emotional quotient) and louise agreed saying he's a sensitive, caring guy. for this need that he has I think right now only louse and sam are giving him what he needs from a relationship as I do think he's the kind of guy who connects on that deep emotional level. the mental connection with lisa is probably one of the highest amongst the group and the physical/attraction/romance quotient being one of the highest with Jess (though I do think there's a fair bit being edited out from Louise and Sam dates on this end). Unfortunately for Jess i do think Blake sees this as slightly superficial and fleeting...he seems to really want a lasting compatibility and intimacy with someone.

I think Louise's multifaceted nature and competence is very appealing to him but I think he's also wanting to uncover an "intangible/inexplicable" "IT" kind of chemistry with her which I don't know if there is right now... I think with sam he feels like she "gets" him (probably similar to Lisa who I think also does) based on what he said to Sam about her reading him so well and what he said about Lisa in an interview where he said they were similar in some ways...with sam I think this emotional/mental connecting is helping create an intimate space for him to be vulnerable towards her which I think is one of the things he values. I think he's yet to build that with Louise though I do think Louise challenges him and he likes the part of him that she brings out (I do wonder how much he "relaxes" while with her and feels like he just "clicks" -- i think the physical attraction is def clouding these things right now -- I think he relaxes & feels "understood" wether it be emotionally or mentally with Lisa and Sam right now. Louise seems a bit more of a Type A/stable/slightly less exciting & vivacious i.e. fun than the other girls so I don't know if she's a ying to his yang as I think he is also more  rational/analytical/dull rather than goes with his gut/joy de vivre type of guy and I see them settling into a bit of a routine if slightly boring kind of partnership compared to the dynamic banter and "bouncing off of each other which would happen with the other two girls).

I think Louise is his "perfect fit" in terms of the list of things he wants in a wife while Sam is the girl he has that inexplicable spark with - think he centers her and she lights him up (ying & yang). curious to see if Lisa keeps opening up cos I think she does have the potential to be a real contender if she manages to bridge what Sam and Louise have to offer him (I don't think we're getting to see Sam's intellectual side which came out as an overly analytical neurotic trait) right now I think Louise and Sam give him the serious/emotional intimate space but Lisa has the potential to do so not sure if she is....maybe this week's scare will help Lisa be more vulnerable taking the connection several steps further. at the same time with Lisa it's still in the "potential phase" will their relationship live up to what either of them imagine? Will they open up and truly explore together? I think right now he sees a high level of potential compatibility but dunno if they've felt it out and tried it on together cos she's still holding back. whereas with sam their ability to communicate has been building an intimacy that pulls in various facets (in action) However --- I also do wonder if Sam begins to retreat a bit after his comment about having "really strong feelings" for ALL the 4 girls giggling Also cos we're shown such a carefree side to sam i wonder how they would work as a functional couple in the real world (def see how him and louise can work) I'm curious if the Home visit episode can bring more insight about whether or not they can work as a couple dealing with real life things/other people in their lives

In all this -- I'm pretty sure Jess is seriously falling behind the other girls

Honestly, I am not sure whether Sam and Lisa really are F2.....  Wouldn't this be weird if that was the case?:

Just wanting to go back to Chloep's posting from a few week's ago. I read Sam's message as jokingly being jealous of Lisa because there is something to jealous about?

Hard to interpret aef...it could also be she's showing support cos lisa is one of her besties -- multiple times the girls have mentioned how they all have tried to put the blake relationship aside and just supporting eachother...sam herself said that in an interview where she said girls have encouraged her when she wanted to throw in the towel and leave the house by telling her blake is amazing you're great...u should stay

I have to give Blake some credit. He's got some depth and chose wisely. I like all 4 of his final girls. Louise will make a great wife and mom, but I don't think he can go wrong with any of them. Jess may be a little odd, but when I read that she read 10,000 pages while waiting around in the house, it explained her a bit. He said that his pick is very, very funny so to me that means it's Sam or Lisa. They may be hiding a bit of Lisa because based on what they have shown us, he seems to be most into Sam. Has Sam mentioned her parents? Why do her brothers need a role model?

Grace I agree with your assessment of Blake. I think though if Sam makes it to F2, something major would have to go down for Blake not to choose her because he knew her last relationship really hurt her & because of that I think Blake would let her go at F3 instead of building it up more with her. If Sam is not the F1, I think he will let her go at F3. Regarding your question about Sam, based on an Instagram posting of her youngest brother, it appears they lost their father sometime ago & that might explain why she took up a nurturing role for her younger siblings.

Definitely think they're hiding Lisa!
Found these tidbits itneresting since I also agree with you that blake has a lot of self-awareness and is picking the girls well -- just remembering a couple of things about Blake's ideas about love...

he described the funny/quirky affection and relationship of the couple in the notebook when they were young as his fave romantic moment in a movie when zoe asked that question in a group date. in the movie that couple bickers, makes out and does out of the box things like laying down in the middle of the street late at night and breaking into an abandoned house...the couple is very passionate

he also described in the first episode something along the lines of "when you're in love with someone -- you bounce off each other, you miss them, they're your best friend"

He said something along the lines of "Just have a good personality, a good sense of humour. Help me feel calm, that’s a nice thing — you know when you’ve got a good partner and they’ve got a calming effect, just because they’re in control and know what’s going on, so you feel relaxed when you’re with them." for what he's looking for in a girl.

When it comes to his ideal woman, our Bachelor is looking for someone who can make him laugh, enjoys good banter, has a sense of adventure and possesses ambition and confidence.

also his fam dynamics

Raised single-handedly by his mother, whom he credits for his wicked sense of humour, Blake received one piece of advice from her before coming on The Bachelor Australia: “Have fun, and be respectful to the girls.”

Integral to shaping Blake into the man he is today is his grandmother, who was more of the father figure in his life and not to be messed with. She taught him old-fashioned values and a genuine respect for women.

When asked before the show the ideal girl for him

A girl who’s affectionate, humble and confident, but doesn’t take themselves too seriously. Knows how to hold a good conversation, can be cheeky and has an awesome sense of humour. Appreciates the little things, isn’t afraid to try new things, and of course is a calming presence for me – while simultaneously making me feel invincible.

Thanks for bringing all those together emusha - the in control and calm bits best describe Lisa. Some of the other descriptions could be either Sam or Lisa.

Think Louise is still quite hidden. There was an interview where Blake said he had never baked before but started baking for Louise. Even did profiteroles twice to get them right!

yea I think according to what he described going into the show Lisa is the girl with all the traits - she brings the banter and the centering him -- right now what i see is on both their sides they're standing behind the fence and idealizing what their relationship could be... neither one is jumping in and taking a risk ...they're both kind of complacent and pretty stuck in the rationalizing -- if he was eager he could make things/dates happen ...for no apparent reason, lisa easily disappeared into the background over and over -- i don't exactly "get" why.... my hypothesis is...Lisa wasn't tht into blake to begin with (huge body language clues) i think blake thought she could be and understood the potential with her but didn't apply urgency in finding out for some reason...

Thanks Emusha and AEF for bringing all those interview links over.

Just curious, other than the one interview Sam did mid-season where she clarified that she thought Laurina was absolutely brilliant that they had become friends; do you know if she has done any other interviews? I ask because we know Jess, Sam, Louise have all been interviewed and nothing yet from Lisa. Thanks.

Interesting comment on this Instagram picture. Could Louise be the hidden & slightly surprising F1?

Looks like Louise won as her insta has so much more then the other contestants in recent times ( hence she is very happy) also look at the photo jess and Lisa are clearly not thrilled. Sam and Louise look close...bet they are the final 2. This photo says it all!
