Need Help? - Have Questions? - Suggestions? - Discussion

Forumotion have had several bugs since upgrading servers a month ago or so, and they upgraded again this past weekend. We have been lucky, knock on wood, compared to what other forum's have experienced. I have advised them of the problem. In the meantime I've resynchronized the forum which is suppose to correct any little issues.

Waiting for their response.

Forumotion hasn't had anyone posting about those issues but feel it may be related to the upgrades.

They suggest:

Try these steps:
1) Clear cache and cookies from your browser,
2) Connect with another browser

They also suggest a DNS flush, (resetting IP addresses) however, they gave me the link to the instructions in French. If anyone wants to try that, let me know what browser you're using and I can walk you through it. I have done that many times in the past, but the steps are different depending on what you are using.

Sometimes that's all it takes to clear out the bugs.

I am happy with things as they are! Once I start to try to fix things, I end up in deep doo doo. Once I deleted our modem. Forget Kasha the IT genius.

Yeah, mine will show the red indicating new post, but when I click into a sub-forum, it goes away for the whole forum. Oh boo.

I have had that same problem with the view new posts.

Are you guys (the Mac users) still having the issue of submitting a message and then being taken back to the top of the page instead of the message? I am.

Mac users that are having this problem, are you using Safari? or what browser are you using?

The issue has been reported to the technicians. There have been others reporting this problem with Mac users using Safari since Dec 2nd, and now with my request for assistance, they realize there is an issue somewhere.

I'll keep everyone posted here.

If the biggest problem I have is being thrown back to the top of the page after making a post(and this has been going on for months for me on my mac), I am a happy camper.
I've gotten used to it by now.
