Grace, Josh sustained an injury while playing ball before he quit playing. He later went to college got his degree in business and is a financial advisor . He realized for him playing ball and having a family would never work for him. That's why he changed his game plan ....for his future family ..

I like Josh, but I'd have my guard up on him more than the other guys.

They have to redeem him a little bit at least, otherwise it's going to be a longggg haul to the FRC. Yep, my thoughts too. If you set aside the spoilers and base on what we've seen so far ...

Josh candidate for F1, Bachelor, BIP ... he's the ideal guy for this franchise. Hot for the ladies and hot headed for the drama. I've shared all over the place that I had thought before becoming spoiled after ep 4 that he was shoe-in for next Bachelor.

Marcus candidate for BIP and possibly Bachelor (but he is a little young); F1 ... well, he sure seems to be peaking a bit too soon with the I Love You's and think that she wants someone who is a little harder to get. He's so darn dreamy and falls easily in love so I can see TPTB keeping Marcus in their back pocket for future opportunities.

Chris candidate for Bachelor and in honor of JBF's edit analysis possibly, possibly the most hidden F1 ever with minimal chemistry with Andi. No way BIP as I can't picture him on island amongst crazies. Way too level headed.

Nick candidate for F1 ... TPTB are clearly not editing him for Bachelor by trumping up the drama around him and he would not put up with BIP silliness. In some ways Nick's edit makes total sense for F1 as we all know that TPTB don't really care if viewing audience loves the F1 (a la Courtney, Vienna, the snowboarder from Deanna's season). All they care about is we love the next Bachelor! So, yeah, I see Nick being outta here if he's not last man standing.

I'm sure he would be playing ball if he had made it to the majors. The fact is he languished in the minors for 5 years where he spent a lot of time on smelly buses going from Podunk town to Podunk town with men who were much older than he. It's obvious after listening to him talk about it on their date that it affected him. He probably saw a lot of infidelity and bad behavior. It doesn't mean he was lying to Andi since they were talking in context to him being in the minors and not the big leagues. I would imagine that playing in the major leagues is much more conducive to having a family than the minors. You can spend a lot more quality time with your family when you get to fly home instead of bussing it.

As for whether Josh has slept with anyone in the last 5 years, who knows. It doesn't mean he's dating them or even exclusive with them. He could have had 50 dates with 50 different women but it doesn't mean he's dating them. For me there's a difference between a date and dating.

I agree that Josh being drafted at 17 is impressive but even more impressive to me is him letting go of something he loved (baseball) in order to have a family and be present and there for them in the future. Also impressed that he went back to school and made the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. He's no dumb jock.

I'm calling foul. I'm sorry but the whole giving up ball (which I also don't buy...he just wasn't good enough...he was in the minors for 5 years), to start a family is BS. If you are so keen to start a family, then you date...to meet that special someone. You don't do the exact opposite.

You might want to read through all of the threads and get an even better understanding as these things have been discussed throughout. Josh was in the minor leagues, and possibly not good enough to be called up to the majors in the end before he got injured. He missed his family, and realized that a life on the road traveling to smaller market areas was not for him. He did go back to college, played football, got his degree, also stayed and shared an apartment with his brother and sister while they finished school. He's very close to his family. I don't think he said he has been celibate for 5 years, just that he has not had a relationship in 5 years. It seems for him, that means something very meaningful. He hasn't had time, and hasn't found that special person to sustain a lifetime relationship with. Why should we not believe him? I haven't seen a credible woman step forward and say otherwise. It's already been explained about the story of this ex-GF, which is not at all what is was purported to be. People do walk away from sports careers.

I don't think Josh "lied" to Andi about his baseball career, no man wants to scream loud and proud that he wasn't good enough to make it to the next step of his athletic career (I don't know baseball so just working off of assumptions ). He told her that lifestyle didn't make him happy, which is probably true, and it's not like he made the whole thing look glamorous (Podunk town, etc.). He's obviously a really proud guy who doesn't like to lose so to me it's impressive that after his initial plan to play baseball didn't work out, he regrouped, went to school and did something else and looks like he's found a successful career and life outside of his failed baseball career. Reading their tweets, his younger siblings and friends just adore him so I think there must be something good about him.

As for being nervous around Andi, he is slightly brainwashed by tptb at this point as well as his mom who is already planning the wedding and welcoming a second daughter into the family. So he's probably feeling pressure to meet and impress this girl, and see if there's something there. I don't think he's acting with her though, he's her type and she's finding it hard to resist him, I don't know why the reciprocal cannot be true- that she's his exact, perfect type too. Seems like it to me.

As for no relationship for 5 years, it's not like he said he was a monk, just nothing serious and exclusive. Better than 5 girlfriends coming out of the wood work. We'll see if some women start spilling to the mags but so far, there isn't any dirt on him.

I personally don't know about baseball minor league, but people have to take into account Josh was injured, he was away from his family in small towns seriously all the guy had to do was think, about what wanted in life...... From all accounts he made some good money, his college education paid for, people do walk away from professional sports, remember the guy Tillman he did, to go into the Military and he played in the NFL.....

And Josh is how old now exactly ?

Andi didn't really buy what he was selling because it is coming up again in the next episode.

Seems like the best shot of a solid turn their relationship is his family and the whole living 2 KM away from each other in Atlanta.

I don't even know how he gets to F3. They have shown no connection, no romance. That relationship seems to be stagnant. We really know the least about Chris out of all the guys left.

Chris is just what's left when Marcus hopefully wakes up and leaves.
