Someone posted maybe the tides have turned with TPTB and no longer is Chris going to be The Bachelor, and now Marquel is in there sights. Could be one reason Chris is hidden.

The obstacle was JPG unable to let go and fall in love. It was a question of will he or wont he propose. And Nikki did not get a clean cut edit, plus the fact that Clare got the in your face chemistry Josh is getting now.

Clare and JPG had different value system, didn't compliment each other, never works, Nikki was THE match for him. It think JPGKI will make it the distance.

Josh and Andi, same value, good match.

I have no impression from this or last season as to what Andi's "values" are. Truly. Not judging her, but she is a very closed book. Thus far this season, apart from enjoying the physicality of multiple guys week to week, she strikes me as locking her own heart away, pending a report from the other side of her brain (to mix up the anatomical metaphors awkwardly). She seems to be interacting from her judging/evaluating/rational place, not nearly ready to trust any of them enough to put her own heart in the game yet. After HTDs, we will probably see whom she decided to trust / fall for.

They edited the show weeks ago and wouldn't necessarily expect the Marquel love that is coming his way. Chris is hidden because for whatever reason, they want it that way. Marquel is also on BIP which is hardly setting him up for the next Bachelor. So far the only people to keep that clean edit are Chris, Brian and Marcus....and I still say Marcus is too young and that also applies to Brian (who is also shown as unsure. Not a quality they want in their pick for the lead.) Of course, they could turn the edit on it's ear at any time so who knows what we still have coming up.

^^Sprite, I think it is still possible - I think JPG popularity after several episodes has propelled him to TB status.

Since it appears that Chris makes it all the way to the FDs, there's still plenty of time to highlight him and garner fan sympathy when this "perfect" guy is rejected, IMO. Although I agree that the producers were probably not anticipating the level of Marquel love from viewers and I'm sure are mulling over his unlikely candidacy now as well. I still say that nothing is set in stone in their minds until the show is done airing and they see what fans are saying at that point. But right now, I think the only likely candidates at all are Chris, Marquel, and of course Josh, if he isn't F1. I'm afraid Nick's edit is going south and I agree Marcus is too young (in their minds).

I wonder if Nick's edit will continue to plummet? He seems to have a great date with Andi. I wonder if it will still be issues with the guys. But who will be left to bother him?

They have to redeem him a little bit at least, otherwise it's going to be a longggg haul to the FRC. Although I suppose it could be an interesting storyline if they somehow make it look like Andi wants to choose Nick since she trusts him and doubts Josh but it's really Nick who is the one that is manipulating her.

Speaking of Nick, I didn't like that he wasn't having fun at the GD. I think the drama involving him that night was contrived by the producers. He has his friends and none of them seemed bothered at all. I don't think it's so much he's smug but tends to have a dry sense of humor.

Marcus was very cute on the mime GD but talking about love this soon doesn't usually go well.

Chris is getting so little airtime that it seems RS is wrong about him being TB.

Really? That is great! He handled the situation like such a strong, confident man, without trying to make anyone feel bad, just be heard and say his piece. Plus his ability to show a vulnerable soft side too and speak so genuinely to the camera ... I don't get why Cody makes better tv than him next week, as TPTB must have decided. He would be amazing as Bachelor.
