I have to re-watch this Episode #5. Lots of curios...

Obviously she did NOT have a connection with Andrew, but JJ seemed H-bent to get him off the show. Therefore, I do suspect he was innocent of the B-word and JJ was fibbing in order to push Marquel’s buttons and instigate more drama. Only it didn’t matter, since she wasn’t into him anyway… or Marquel… or Patrick.

Brian got a bizarre screen shot when Marquel was questioning whether or not he was fibbed to. Uh hmmm… was he the guilty one?

If Brian did jokingly say something he shouldn’t have at a rose ceremony, this may explain why his solo date was edited in an odd fashion. There were plenty of impotence jokes that were quite tasteless, like Andi innocently saying Brian wasn’t “rising” to the occasion and the inclusion of Helen Mirren in that movie sporting the limp asparagus. I do think Brian was very high on her pecking order at that time, which is why his cautiousness was not a cause for elimination.

Josh’s date curiously opened with shots of dead fish in the market. Uh? Well… Brian had to eat sea urchins and frog legs. At least Josh was spared that.

Andi’s body language was rather more guarded than I expected. Yet the editors did a good job selling Josh as a potential F1 with the way the date was set up, complete with a private concert. Like Nick on his date in Santa Barbara, they played that Fantasy Date orchestration pretty loud.

From a musical standpoint, the editors went all out with Josh. He got a short variation of The Guitar Rift (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kr8OSyrxPAA ) when she discussed about relationships that need time to develop. Have to re-watch it to get the full conversation. Last season, Desiree gave a similar speech in Barcelona with Zak W. when that same music played. Chris Siegfried, her F1, got the complete score during his hometown date later…. Ssssoooooo… either Josh (if he’s F1) or Chris (who is “stalling” a little like Eric but I suspect that speech applied to him just as the one Zak received applied to last year’s Chris) will likely get a repeat of that score at hometown… or fantasy date.

Curious lyrics in Ben Fields’ “Extraordinary Light” played for Josh: “take it extra slowly… know I haven’t found it yet…” Did that apply to both Josh and Andi?

… and yet, she told Harrison before her date that she was falling in love… with more than one guy, of course.

Marcus got… tongue action! Wow… she is enjoying as much of him while she can.

Chris seemed like Find Waldo this episode... then again, he really wasn't. His face was everywhere when SHE was talking, particularly at the rose ceremony. Did he discuss Eric with her on this episode? I think I missed it.

So far, despite being BURIED on screen, Chris is the only one of the "spoiled" top four NOT getting Harrison's "If you don't hear your name / you'll be going home immediately". Nick got a variation of those words a second time. Come to think of it, Cody hasn’t gotten those lines yet.

Josh gets bird poop over the end credits. The seasonal promo shows pigeons “attacking” Nick in Venice. Interesting…

I'm sorry, if he is not shown prominently in every episode from here on out, I just don't see him as the next bachelor. That doesn't mean he won't be, but I just don't see it.

I don't even know how he gets to F3. They have shown no connection, no romance. That relationship seems to be stagnant. We really know the least about Chris out of all the guys left.

Chris is just what's left when Marcus hopefully wakes up and leaves.

We barely saw Juan Pablo last season and he was the bachelor and as sucky as he was, he still brought in good ratings. We're just at the half way point now. They have a few more episodes to show Chris more. It does seem, in my opinion, that he is certainly in the F4 and I do think F3 so they will be really to able to "showcase" him then. Honestly, there really hasn't been much time to really highlight him considering he got a date so early on, but yet every episode there are a few moments where they show him and each time he's being shown as a sweet and caring guy whether it's with one of the guys or Andi. He's the all American guy that they would want to go after considering the mess they were in last season.

He hasn't been shown that much, but he already has a pretty big fan base that I'm assuming will continue to grow.

im confused abut Chris's edit. He is find waldo all the time (borrowing JBF's line ) and then when he showed up he talked about the other guy...we will see this also in next ep it seems. Not a bachelor edit in my book

His edit reminds me of Renee's last season - really nice person with whom the lead feels emotionally close but is not really feeling it physically.
