All CH and Meandi had to do was make a few brief, well thought out and heartfelt comments--even if to remind the audience this is reality tv and a bubble and things in the moment are not always how things play out later and then move on to a lovely dedicated segment. 
They could have dedicated a good 5-7 minutes to outtakes and bloopers of Eric with cast and crew(and especially him with Meandi!) showing the lighter side of reality tv, the love and laughter that is not usually shown until we see the MTN. After this TPTB could have ended with a photo of Eric with the dates of his birth/death and faded out. 
At least that type of exit would have left the audience with some closure saying--yeah Meandi had a hissy, but this is reality tv, and not the entire way things went down.

Ditto with the bolded. It would have soften the impact of her last parting with Eric. I don't get why she have to talk about the Men Tell All when it's no longer possible for Eric to be around.  She has her chance last night to redeem herself but she blew it.

While it may be true that people wouldn't have had as much issue with it if Eric hadn't passed, the point is he did. No, what Andi said was not the worst thing ever, but this gave them a golden opportunity to pay respect and tribute to someone who, by all accounts, was very well liked and respected. Instead, they chose to not show a rose ceremony (out of respect = Joke) and then spend 10 minutes talking about how it's too bad he won't be at the MTA, and how it made THEM feel. When someone dies like Eric, I believe they deserve some respect and dignity, and they paid him none of that when given the chance. Instead, they go to promos for the next episode.

Yes they would cause it always happen whether someone dies or not. It happen when she exited JuanP season and no one died, which is when she got many of her those who are not fans because of how she handle it. That's really her problem she doesn't go about the right way. Eric was calm in the way he spoke to her so why couldn't she remain calm and said I'm sorry you see me that way but that's not true and so on. I seen the other leads handle things better when they are called out on something. No she has to always set someone straight and have the last word. she doesn't always have to end a disagreement her way.

I agree, Kasha, the CH/Andi segment was an epic fail.  Comical that CH said the segment was done to honor Eric.

He did more in his life than most people could ever do and appearing on the Bachelorette was likely just another one of those things he checked of a list. I am sure he did not really have any issue with her after he left, and went about doing his usual worldly adventures. If I were to guess, he does not seem to be the kind that would want people to take pity on him and sit sulking about this in his honor. I doubt that very much.
