Sounds like he is getting bold and careless in his statements.  That kind of inflated bravado makes for a big boom scenerio if he is wrong in the end.  

Mind you,I think TPTB benefit greatly from RS keeping the momentum going between seasons.  He creates "free" buzz and brings a divisive quality that ups the drama.  TPTB love drama.

Which is a bit of a red-flag since they don't normally have the lead come out and call the F1 perfect by the lead in ITM. etc. Except in Ali's season when she gave the FIR to Roberto and sort of said he was her pick. But that season the spoiler was out that she did not pick anyone. RS got it wrong.

So IMO there is a bit of a conflict here. First epi with Josh in the forefront yet normally the producers hide the F1 initially. They certainly don't put in ITMs of leads gushing about the F1.  Something different.

I will be anxious to see her say this and how she says it.  

I remember Des proclaiming her love for Brooks but sometimes it seemed to me she was choking on saying it - it just didn't ring true to me and I truly believe that was all a ploy by TPTB to make people believe the spoiler that was out there.  Because a couple of times she added that she loved Chris also.  I smelled a :con1:

Its not how she says it, its the fact that they left that in the edit. :con1:

I guess my question would be did they leave that in the edit or did they add that to the edit after RS's spoiler came out? :skeptic: 

In the last few seasons we have not seen both the F2 getting 1on1 time with the lead. More than just a couple of seconds at best.
Des' F2 did because he got an FIR as did her F4. But neither of her F1 and f3 got much in ep1. JuanPs F2 we barely saw in the distance with no real conversation.  They showed a lot of Jef but very little of either Sean or Arie.
I think the mix it up and it is a pleasant surprise that the F4 got so much time this season. They are listening to us.

Ah yes, the gushing!  It doesn't follow the pattern of most other seasons however TPTB may have decided to show a love story from beginning to end just to see how that goes with viewers.  Follows the "great love" theme and shows a "softer side" edit.
Andi gushing over Josh in the ITM could also be her way of saying he was the true FIR guy.  Not sure how CH's past statement about Andi being a great actor fits into all this.  Maybe she wasn't and we are meant to question the obvious. Or not  

Agree about the f4 getting more air time. Editing out the important relationship bits in previous seasons is so annoying.

Also with all F4 in front, which chloep agrees with, I think they are once again changing things up.

While I do like Des and Chris, I mostly remember Des saying she loved Chris too when CH would prompt her. I remember during her season thinking Chris was better for her, but it seemed like from that first date with Brooks she sort of imprinted on him like a little bird does it mother and she was hooked. I could be wrong and don't want to start the great was she always in love with Chris or not fight, since at this point it doesn't matter at all and it never mattered to Chris.

The change in the pattern of that first episode editing will leave me suspicious of the F1 spoiler all the way to the end. Probably exactly how Fleiss wants it, whether or not the F1 spoiler is correct.

I think the first epi is online and made available to the media. RS has mentioned this before. I guess he has a contact that provides him with access because I don't think he is on ABC's approved list.

I think tptb just show what's most interesting. Jash had their cupcake convo because it was fun and hot, but Nikki and JPG probably just stared at each other or had an awkward, stilted convo so it wasn't shown.

I think it took Nikki a while to get comfortable, there first couple conversations that were shown had the awkward I am attracted to you, but have no idea what to say vibe to them.

Jash were just awesome from day one! You could almost see them clicking from the first moment! I haven't seen that on my screen on this show before or since.

IMO: Andi came to find the "man of her dreams" and Josh is that guy he, is the complete package. I am actually very excited to see a love story unfold this summer because I just feel like they belong together. Do I like the drama on the show, yes, but ultimately I like watching people fall in love more. Are people probably going to say Andi went with her "dads" choice or her "Safer" choice, yes but Josh has everything she ever wanted and she probably would have picked him even if he lived in Michigan. This is just my opinion but I am very excited for the season to start and to watch Andi fall in love with Josh!

While I really don't want Josh to be F1,  I also did not want him to be spoiled F1 either.    now he is gonna get the "spoiled F1" trashing (ala Chantal).  I wish he would have been the nice, cute, F4 and get the heck away from TPTB!

One thing that's key for Andi, beyond physical attraction, is the intellectual attraction. It's pretty clear that Josh isn't a dumb jock- that he walked onto the football team (which demands 20+ hours a week of one's time) while pursuing his degree (he didn't need an athletic scholarship because he'd negotiated 100K for college once baseball was over) shows that school alone wasn't enough to keep him occupied (I do not believe he went on the team to be his brother's babysitter). I think that end up being the big distinctive with Marcus, as handsome as he is. Did he go to college? I know that having spent a lot of time in Europe after high school would add to his sophistication, but Andi's looking for intellectual stimulation. She possible likes the intellectual connection with Nick, but he's not as hot as Josh, so the physical attraction isn't as keen. And there may have been plenty about Chris to like, but Josh, the total package, is right in front of her.
