Imo I think before everyone jump into conclusion about the mbc . I think why not just wait for it. If they will get a good edit or not which for sure they are aware about it based on the interviews and his blog . Then so be it . As they said they went with no big issues and admitted the reasons of doing it on his blog.

As long as they don't whine about their portrayal, I'll be happy. They didn't double the offer because they were desperate to display a Christ loving fairytale laugh out loud.

In the preview of Sean wanting to leave the show after the first day because of 'people talking about threesomes and dropping f bombs', did he really not know they would cast the Mama Junes of the reality world? He had to have known right?

I have wondered the same thing. Simple due diligence would require watching the previous season before committing to anything IMO!

I wouldn't put my marriage under that scrutiny just because of being greedy. Sean and Catherine got TB money, got the DWTS money, the wedding money, multiply appearances on The Bachelor money, Wife swap money and MBC money. So, when will enough be enough? When will they start working and stop relying on these reality shows?

FYI, they do not rely on these reality shows at all.  Like I said if you know them very well you will understand that they do have businesses doing very well.  Nothing wrong with supplementing your income.  We all do other things to supplement our income that is just good business!!!

Honestly, I would understand them doing these trashy shows more if they actually needed the money, but according to Sean these massive paychecks don't pay their bills, so surely they're not hurting for money? I guess I just don't understand, because I've never been that motivated by money. I kind of wish I was, because I'd get more done, but honestly I'd be happy for the rest of my life just making ends meet. And I'm just a lowly atheist, not some shining beacon of light or whatever these two think they are. I guess I could supplement my income by moonlighting as an escort and some would consider that easy money too, but for me it would be just about the hardest way of making money I can imagine. Selling my private life and integrity is pretty high up on that list too. The fact that these two consider it too easy to pass up says something about their morals and principles to me. To each their own, but it just doesn't jive with the image they're trying to sell and I dislike hypocrites.

Oh and as for them being offered, they weren't offered the money they got the first time around. Sean asked for double the amount and thus put them in the position where they "couldn't" refuse. How is that not greedy? He could've just said no to the first offer and they would've lost half as much by refusing.

I'm really just over SeanCat.  They need to just get to living their lives away from the TV spotlight.  I get that it's easy money and most people couldn't pass it up.  But when you stand on a platform of preaching the word of God and sharing his message, and then in the next breath are doing crap like this...it makes you unbelievable and worse, laughable.  I realize that no one is perfect and that we all do things that aren't good and honorable all the time.  But when they choose to put themselves in the spotlight and do crap like this...well like I said...they just look laughable...and imo are making a mockery out of all that they stand for.  It's sad really.

Just a reminder folks, we need to tread very, very lightly on the religion topic, as it is against board rules. A small amount may be unavoidable with the Lowe's but only in the most general way. Thank you.

Just because someone doubles the offer doesn't redeem the choice for me.  Just because one thinks it'll be a blip in their lives doesn't redeem the choice for me.  Just because someone thinks they "might" get a good edit doesn't redeem the choice for me.

Is it good business to supplement one's income doing a show that reflects the exact opposite of one's values?  I know my answer.

I'm not a fan of theirs, but I don't blame them for accepting the temptation of big bucks (although not sure I would subject myself to all that is going to come.) As said above, he would really be a hypocrite if moans about how they are portrayed after it airs. They are the King and Queen of reality TV appearances. If they don't need the money, as he stated, then I think a nice option would be to donate it to causes he supports. After this airs, I hope there are no more reality tv appearances for either of them, and no criticism of other bach contestants by either of them.

I am a little confused after readin all the posts. So, Sean stated he did the show for money, which is ok IMO and I appreciate his honesty, and then some posts claime Cat doesn't care about money? So does that mean only Sean cares about money? Or did I read something wrong?
I am happy they found each other and got married but I admit I don't follow them and am pretty neutral towards them.

^^ Sean wrote on his blog that the reason he did the show was for money. I believe it was fans of theirs who say that Cat doesn't care about money, from following them on SM. I'm not sure if that was in an article somewhere or not - but I could be wrong.

Sean stated it on his blog.
I went home that afternoon and shared everything that transpired with Catherine. To my surprise, she was much more open-minded than I was about the whole idea. This came as a surprise to me because Catherine never gives much consideration to money (it’s one of her best traits). “It might make our marriage even stronger,” she said. “And the money will be a blessing too.”
