Bachelor Canada - Season 2 - *Sleuthing - *Spoilers* - *Speculation* - Discussion

I am not sure if this interview has been posted. I thought this interview (radio video) Tim was great and got a glimpse of who Tim is. It was one of the longest interviews I have seen about 20 minutes. The host Todd Shirpo does get a little crud FYI....but I hadn't seen this and wanted to share.

Yet another thing we didn't get to see with April - according to her blog, she met Tim's best friend and his fiancé on her 1-on-1! Holy crap

I find Kaylynn's edit interesting and at the same time confusing.  They show her over the top behavior during the rose ceremony, but left out her meltdown during the RC cocktail party. They did include a small snippet of it in the season previews where Tim's in the bathroom comforting her and she tells him "I want to stay strong and calm for you", and if you batted an eyelash you missed it.  You'd think they'd milk that scene for all it's worth, and  yet they subtly slide it past the audience. In the next three episodes  she's riding a high, so much so that in her latest blog she not only says she was confident she would get the last rose but goes far as to say that she would be one of the last 2 standing. What's up with that?  Tim must be whispering something in her ear for her to be so self-assured.  If the previews for the next episode are indicative of what's to come, a new melt down is on it's  way. And I bet she'll bounce right up after Tim reassures her once again.  

I know that there's s talk about  watching who the lead chases and some say that it's April and it may well be.  However, for now, I'm keeping my eye on Kaylynn. If Tim didn't want her to stay he would have booted her the first night; there still would have been enough drama queens to keep him occupied.
She's there because Tim wants her there.

I get a gold star if she's the F1 because I picked her off the wine glass. j/k, I'll be surprised. I do keep questioning why April is so obvious though.

Thank you for saying this....that has been my whole thing trying to figure this all out. Posters state that April is hidden and she isn't to me. I said it awhile back that Trisha and April will be the final 2 because they are the only two with highlight videos in premiere. If I am wrong fine, but I called it with AU Blake season....Sam was the only one of the F4 with a video. (I know bad season to compare LOL). So, the question I keep coming to is if these two are the F2 is Canada editors hidden the F1 then Trisha is more hidden to me then April or are the editors making it obvious. I thought it was interesting that Dom stated in her blog that Tim should marry Trish. LOL

I think when people are referring to April being hidden it is more about their time together rather than her not being seen. Like when Tim came to talk to her before the RC while she was sitting with Kaylynn...calming her down during one of her freak outs. We saw him coming to get her specifically, but then didn't see their talk. Same with when she came to the cabana and asked him to go on the swings with her. We saw them go off together, but then never saw their time together. Why? They could have easily edited those things out since it didn't really develop into anything, but they left them for a reason. They want us to see their attraction and interest in one another, but not too much because it might make it too obvious...even more than it already appears to be. JMO. Anyone else have any thoughts?

@4health.. No, April's not hidden to me at all. I remember you saying that about the intro videos which is one reason I am discounting Kaylynn. I liked Trisha more on this episode. She's pretty funny sometimes. Remember Tim saying she told him something special on the night she got the group date rose in Vancouver? I think it was in his blog. It was about the charity work she does with pageants. She mentioned it on FB.

It's just super odd that there is not even an extremely difficult SC to figure out of any other girl in Moorea except April.

Oh, I agree. We are seeing a lot with April, but unfortunately, we are not seeing anywhere near as much with anyone else. Kaylynn has the whole bullied story and all her dramatic crying, but other than her, we really don't see much with any of the others. For me specifically, I just don't see any real chemistry with anyone else. Yes, he was initially attracted to quite a few of them, but with each episode, I see less and less with the others and more and more with her. He has a show to do and I'm sure it isn't exactly a hardship to kiss some pretty girls, but to me he is starting to go through the motions. He seems like a nice guy and likes them and has fun with them, but I just don't see that something special with anyone else. I hope I'm right because I would really feel cheated out of a romance if he ends up with someone else....unless they turn things around really, really, really quickly.

Ha! I guess I am not the only one that is using intro videos from the first episode and comparing them to Blake's AU season (I know, terrible post-season but we were still spot on regarding F1)... and the only two girls remaining, Trish and April, are in intro videos. April more obvious (as was Sam) and Trish less so, more hidden.

Since you also just finished watching TBAU Season 2 with Blake and his F1, and for those that have as well, here's my take... and these are loosely based comparisons when I say "has such-n-such's edit"....
- Lisa has Laurina's edit (straight shooter, can go either way: crazy/real)
- Kaylynn has Jess's edit but with a mix of Sam (intense physical connection, does the chasing, but childhood issues)
- Trisha has Louise's edit (sails through each RC, pageant-like, a match made on paper, hidden?)
- Sechelle has Lisa's edit (sweet, friendship emphasized over lust, a sweetheart)
- April B has Sam's edit (scared of being vulnerable/doubts, needs to be chased, has F1 Theme Music)

I do find it hilarious that the word connection is being used again and again and again in TBCA as well. Haha. But I do think that Tim seems more authentic about his approach, however, in finding the one.

Here is what I thought after watching (not intently) the episodes...to me it seems very obvious that April is F1:
- Video intro of her (only other one is Trisha), she also talks about her life
- Tim chases her, wants her to open up, etc.
- Tim shares more about himself personally with her (e.g., where he made big life change and now again)
- Tim's response to her as April cries saying "I can't do this" (seen at the end of Episode 1 and yet to happen)
- The music that is edited with April very likely gives it away...... shel already has what I call "F1 Theme Music". F1 Theme Music is always softer, more melodic, ballad-like... it is quieter and more in the background musically so the emphasis is placed on what is happening and being said between TB and F1. The music edit causes the viewer to have to listen more closely/pay closer attention.

I find it interesting that in this interview [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Tim talks about how he thought the experience would be more fun but it was very stressful emotionally and exhausting. Hopefully this means he finds happiness with the right one? In another interview he was on, (The Todd Shapiro show) he mentions only one quality/characteristic in a woman..."sweetheart". This he has stated about Sechelle.. and alluded to with April.

I am hoping that the obvious edit bodes well for Tim and his F1 and not edited because of a horrible end/postFRC.

I agree Sprite; That is some of the reason why I haven't called anyone else as a possible F1. But, after going back and watching Brad's season Bianka and Tim's moments weren't shown and she was pretty much a mystery until the 2:1 date in Paris and that being said Bianka was the narrator and reaction shots. Whitney was the girl that Brad confided in and cried with, Whitney was the girl that Tim spoke about their connection was hot from the start, like she was the obvious F1. I think right now it is Kaylynn and April show the two bf's. I will wait and see what Tim says about Trisha on their 1:1 next week. We know Trisha gets a hometown date but after that everything else is up in the air except April being in Moorea. Why only her, a little obvious?

I love you take on it. But comparison to AU Blake's season I would switch Sachelle and Trisha. Tim stated on the group date tonight that Sachelle is a straight arrow. She doesn't drink much he mentions it to her in one of the episodes and Trisha because he says about Trisha on the 2:1 boat "Trisha is someone a very comfortable person to be around and light hearted" JMO The one thing that I don't think Trisha is F1 is because you never see any of Tim & Her cocktail 1:1 times. I remember thinking the same thing with Anna in Au season. Plus, they didn't show many of Brad and Bianka's but it makes me question it and why I can see April F1.

I agree with regards to the bolded. If anything, this may have to do with what he talks about in this interview

Tim mentions how emotionally stressful the show was. If anything, Tim makes me believe he really went into this to find the one and everyone else became 'filler' once he felt he did. That would be emotionally stressful to know who you want to be with but still put on a 'show' and reassure the one you want that you are serious.

Hopefully it is April, otherwise I just don't see it working with anyone else. It was April for me from the first episode and the minute I heard the music playing for her intro and then when they met each other out of the limo (barely touching each other). I almost had the thought they knew each other beforehand, strangely enough. If you SC the moment he walks into the first episode cocktail room near the fireplace where April is standing, you can see he is looking at her but talking to the other two girls that are in his way. He also did the whole, make-her-wait-for-a-rose thing in the first RC... As of now, I just am looking to confirm that she is F1 based on the first episode alone. So far, it seems that way and the F1 Theme Music is always playing when she is on screen with Tim.

I was convinced there was something with April after the first episode. And more so his eyes and smiles in the ITMs when he talks about her. Tim has no poker face at all. He engaged her immediately she came out of the Limo and made it personal when he told her he lit all the candles in the driveway for her( same way he lit the candles in the pumpkin picture?). I also remember him asking her not to go yet when she was about to walk inside the mansion, he has been interested in since day one and he is still keen in finding out more. I haven't seen him that interested in anyone else. I think the story they editing os going with will be that Tim is all in with her but he isn't sure she is with him. the voiceover of him saying he has falling for her is about April. Even her blogs are leading that way, "I like him and still want to find out more to see if he is for me, and if I can let him in". Edit reminds me of Brad 2.0 (with Emily).
