Re: Juan Pablo Galavis - Nikki Ferrell - Bachelor 18 - Discussion
His season was less than inspiring. The ladies...other than Sharleen and Renee...not so great. When he picked Nikki...I believed RS. I know many on here can't stand him, but if you take away his grand standing, he is usually right...he certainly was here. When I saw her HTD...it just didn't look inspiring. There were a few more instances where they were just sitting and...nothing. Yes, they acted all over each other at times, but we all know the editors can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Yes, she may have felt something for him, but I think she may have talked herself into more being there than there was and then was just too stubborn to admit she was wrong. To me she was always a Debbie downer and I just couldn't get into her...or Andi or Clare. I didn't think the relationship would last. I always thought it was just too weird that Carla came on a date. I don't care how progressive you are and how well you co-parent, we have had other people who are single parents and their baby mommy/daddy didn't show up on dates. To me that is a huge red flag. That AFTR was another. I have never seen an F1 look so miserable!!!
It takes two to make a relationship and usually, both people are involved when it goes south. I can see how both of these people were at fault in this instance. They wanted different things, they can't communicate and both are stubborn. I don't feel sorry for either of them. They both got things out of the relationship. Some might say Nikki was the victim, but she is a grown woman and nobody put a gun to her head. Plenty of people warned her but she didn't want to listen. I would be very happy if I don't have to see either of them on my TV. Please, no Jake and Vienna 2.
You could be the juiciest, most ripe peach, but there is still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches.

I admit until Couple's Therapy, I fell for Juan Pablo's BS, too ... a lot of us did. But, Nikki did the heavy lifting ...
She was humiliated at the end of The Bachelor and even worse on CT. Imagine her watching it and hearing the other couples talking about how stupid she is thinking she had something with him. Jenna especially must have made her cringe with her rant of he is not saying it because he does not lve you. Kudos to her for reaching her limit and getting out of a stagnant relationship. JP is not the 1st person to have a daughter, many others have managed to have relationships even with children. He uses that as an excuse for his commitment issues. How long is a woman supposed to stay with you before you deem her worthy of your love? I loved them both but there is no reward for staying in place where you are banging your head against a wall. And the whole he shows love theory is not enough IMO. If you really love someone, you would not made them the object of national ridicule that could be avoided by saying you love said someone. He should take his te amo and te adore to someone who will get it.
I see her meeting someone who will be happy to profess his love and protect her from scorn. Sadly JP was not ready to let go of his stubborness to do that. Good luck to both of them.
I hope Nikki finds a man to tell her ILY and not mind if her friends make fun of him. I hope he finds a woman who reciprocates his affection.

For me....Definitely not!!! She is grumpy and hates social media, not to mention I don't need to see Andi on my screen again giving advice as I'm sure producers would suggest....or the rehash of the JPab debacle that we would be forced to endure numerous times. She would hate all the publicity one has to do to promote the show and she would get slammed in the media all over again. Besides, she said she wanted to go back to her normal life...I for one am happy to let her.

Re: Juan Pablo Galavis - Nikki Ferrell - Bachelor 18 - Discussion
I saw the above link in another thread, so I read the article (about J & A). While I was never gaga over JPG and was not rooting for him to get the Bachelor role, I did watch his season. I never understood his relationship with Nikki, and I'm certain that they were never mant to be a couple.
I know the guy isn't perfect, but it really irks me to see TPTB in the past and the media still describing him as the devil incarnate. I think there has always been a double standard when it comes to how TPTB throws a male (lead) under the bus, versus the poor lil lady who was wronged by the big bad wolf.
JPG wasn't the first male lead to not make it to the altar, milk his 15 minutes, or have fans turn on him. He was, however, the first male lead whose aired soundbite (re Clare) made it to the screen. Considering how TPTB played an integral part in Andi's ATFR train wreck with Nick, I think they are becoming enboldened as to what they provoke and what they air. IMO, with this production strategy, we have many more "stains" on the franchise to come. Time to stock up on our Shout(R) and Oxyclean(R) before Chris' season makes it to our TVs.
