And last but not least, I'm so tired of them stringing Arie and his fan base along.  It's become a bad game they play and it feels like a sock in the gut each time.

A poster, Emad, in the Nick fan forum who is familiar with IG told me that he could easily tag the location as LA while still being in Chicago. My guess is that was from several weeks ago and he just tagged the picture as to where it was taken as opposed to actually being there now. That's just my guess though.

This is all JMO. If I was a fan of Chris or Arie (or anyone else you think you want to be the Bachelor), I would never want them to go on to be the lead. I don't trust TPTB as far as I could throw them not to mess with them royally, allow all the dirt possible to be in the tabloids, and find women they would actually be interested in.

umngirl, I don't trust TPTB either.  But, the reason I want my favorite is the promise of the bolded.  (Well, not that he'll marry Catherine.  She's taken.    )   But, someone equally wonderful.  I want those I like to find love and I want to watch it happen on TV.  And, by golly, sometimes it happens.   Call me crazy.

why is posting a pic with élan a foiler?? nick fans know that he has been close with élan through the whole season. honestly I wouldn't read into it anymore than most who post pics with élan ie Michelle money this week. pretty sure he is just the bachelor god producer.

Ditto. As much as I fear WTH tptb will do to mess with my favourite, I always hope that they may actually find someone and I will get to watch it unfold on my TV. Of course, I very rarely am actually a big fan of anyone and some of my favourites turned their backs on the franchise...Chris L and Chantel. Sean made out like a bandit and became a great lead, landed himself a wife and opportunities he never dreamed of. Chris S has a similar potential. I really liked what I saw of him on his solo date and his hometown visit in particular. My only concern is that he doesn't buy into all the hype that the producers are sending his way right now...just like JPab and Andi before him...and have it bite him in the a** next season. We all know that what they tell you makes you a great lead is what they end up using against you. My advice...stay humble and have a nice long chat with Sean!!!

Smoke and mirrors. As soon as MM asked when the new bachelor would be announced and CH mumbled and CS blushed then the rumors of others began.... Arie (and his campaign) and now Nick.... and a photo. I wouldn't put it past tptb to make it (a little) worth the while of a couple of guys to cloud the real choice a little.

I don't anticipate the announcement until the end of BIP, but Sean was announced right before filming for his season began, but as I recall, he was on board as of mid-July. All the murmurs serve the purpose of building interest (and intrigue) and not much else. As far as I can tell, tptb can claim success at least as far as this board is concerned. People are talking.
