I also posted something elsewhere about the whole rumor that RS spoiled about tptb offering him a large chunk of $$$ to express his love and get engaged on the ATFR. IMO (Again just an assumption on my part and no offense to any diehard fans of tptb :Smiley: ) that he refused to play ball on that one with tptb and what we saw on the ATFR is his reaction and answer to that. I could be wrong but that is a huge possibility. JP (and Nikki) did not want to be bought. This of course is not something the show would ever admit to since it comes under the canopy of bribery.

This make so much sense to me. This is not the man we saw in the beginning, this is a man who has being trampled on, beaten up, offended, and has had enough, and no longer wants play ball with them. JMO

I hope it is OK for this forum to say that I think Juan Pablo would be willing to be bought, but NOT to be a puppet; that is how I read his personality. He'd do a whole lot for money and fame (including taking on this show), but he will NEVER let anyone pull his strings.

Being a foreign in this country and dealing with some rich people is a humbling experience. A lot of them will considered him stupid cus of his limited English and accent, and will try to take advantage of him. They just met their match. Many foreigners who have dealt with high powers will tell you that. I think JuanP went as far as he could with them, and his stubbornness and pride did not help the situation. There has not being a lead with limited English and strong accent like JuanP, so there is really no one to compare with.JMO

I tend to root for the underdog couples. Hell I rooted for Jake and Vienna! :afraid:

So I hope these two figure things out and make it work for them.

It's their life to do what they want and who I am to say otherwise. I can criticize all day long but my relationship with my husband and 42 years of marriage haven't always been the most stellar. We all have opinions but that doesn't make us right when it concerns other lives and how they choose to live it.

Congratulations on 42 years of marriage nonnie, that is something to be proud of in this day and age.

We are are human, therefore we are imperfect. I can help but wish them well, and root for Nikki and JP. I guess I am the eternal optimist.

These do remind me of Jed a little bit so I can see the similarities. In both of these, the women way more invested than the men and the mind boggled why the women didn't wake up and see this. The difference is that Ed thought it was all a big joke and JPG had legitimately gotten all upset and riled up by his portrayal. Anyway, I too wish them the best. I like Nikki and they looked like a team at ATFR so maybe there is something very real and united in their relationship. Idk!

Amen sister! I have being married for over 35 years and my husband and I are both very strong willed. And honestly, if he wasn't, I would have totally ran over him. But we really do balance each other and grown through the years by learning to work out our differences.
Love is a decision that both parties have to be willing to make through thick and thin. Juan and Nikki will make it in-spite of the Naysayers if they both are willing to work at it.
Nikki in one of the dates said that she was so strong willed that she needed someone who can match it. I guess, she has met her match. Lets see if she can handle this one. AFRC, she said 'only time will tell", if they cam make it.

I agree. Time will tell.

I guess at almost 60 years old I see things so much differently than I used to.
